(for the record I think he can but I would need to see us realistically challenge next season with a 3 year target of winning it........)
for me i still think the stats show that the first target is to get ourselves into the top 2 and then use that as a springboard for an out and out title challenge.

we really need to establish ourselves as a top 2 team rather than a top 4 team and then we will be title challengers.

If the DIC come in and we part company with Rafa because they want their own man I don't think we can have too many complaints. I'd rather that than they do what Ashley did at Newcastle (not giving the manager enough money / support) or what our current owners have done in terms of bigging up Rafa only to chop his legs out from under him.

I think it's about Sheik Mohammed's book on his race to excellence.

I have major doubts about Rafa's ability to win the league. We simply don't play consistent football. You can go on all you want about him not having the funds that are available to Ferguson and Grant but, plain and simple, our squad is capable of better. Look at the table...we have a better goal difference than Chelsea, but are ten points behind them. If that doesn't underscore our inconsistency, then I don't know what does.

It's the same thing every ****ing season. What the problem is, I don't know. Sometimes it's Rafa's puzzling team selection, but even when he puts out a good side, we often see the same old problems.

There is something seriously wrong with the team, and Rafa's not gotten any closer to solving the problem, namely the fact that we tend to go through prolonged stretches of awful football, and that we often control games for long periods of time without making it show on the scoreboard. And I don't think buying another striker, winger or fullback is going to sort things out.

Reallistically Rafa could do it; but honestly I don't think he can.

After seeing Spurs playing since Ramos has been there and the impact he's had playing attacking football...makes me wish Rafa was more attacking...

One of the main things Ramos did at Spurs was to restore the player's confidence in the dressing room, seeing Liverpool play this season sometimes they are very confident and creative, other times they are not.

Regardless whether or not new players are bought or what style we play, the teams confidence must be restored.
