Liverpool DIC Takeover - Tell DIC How You Feel
As Takeovers go this is going to go down in history for the mere fact that DIC have now come back to the table a year or so after the first attempt. Keeping in mind the fact that DIC have now made an offer Liverpool FC for the second time and that the majority of Liverpool fans want DIC to buy them, we thought it appropriate to make DIC aware of the weight of support they have. This could be a long and ugly fight for the club as it seems the American owners are not willing to play ball, so at times like these DIC need to be know they must carry on and don't give up on Liverpool.

The way this will work is simple we will gather all the feedback that our users wether from Dubai or not give to us regarding the Liverpool issue and pass that onto DIC on a weekly basis. We are not sure what will happen when we do this, we hope DIC will see the support and carry on with the negotiations when they might be at breaking point I doubt anyone wants a repeat of last time.

So if you are a fan of Liverpool and want to let DIC know how you feel tell us here. All emails will be checked before we send them on so therefore rude and foul language will mean that your email is not sent forward, however strong opinions are welcome. We do track IP addresses so anyone violating the rules we will gladly publish your IP address on our blog this WILL make you infamous just ask the last person.

Note: We will not store your email address, we will not spam you with information about Dubai or our site. If anyone you wish to subscribe to updates please go to our blog page and you can give us your email address.

    My message:

    Dear DIC

Recent online polls on the major Liverpool FC websites show levels of support in favour of a DIC takeover running between 87 to 95%. The majority of match-going fans also support DIC as seen by the recent demonstrations.

As fans we believe that DIC as an organisation most closely matches the Liverpool ethos of dignity in its business dealings and modesty in on-field success.

Please persevere in your takeover plans, even if the current owners manage to borrow the money they need in the next 2 days.

At the end of the day Tom, we don't really know of their plans. May turn out worst than these americans.

        Then again they may not...

At least DIC are headed up by a genuine Liverpool fan in Al-Ansari.

            My thoughts too.
Say DIC buys us, and in a year or so our feelings towards them is just the same as towards G&H right now, how utterly ridicoulus would this thing seem then.
Not that I don't want them(DIC) to take over though. I'm uber willing to take the chance.

don't sign it then. Your choice. What we do know are the "business plans" of the current owners will **** us up for eternity. Tough call I know.

I was meaning to start a thread on this within the past week but thought 'Aw ****it' and I'm surprised you're the first (that I know) to have even picked up on the fact that everyone and their dog seems adamant that DIC are the angels descending from the heavens, here to save us all and guide us into the light.

No one from DIC has actually come out with detailed proposals of how much 'better' they might or might not be. No one actually knows a thing about the way DIC would be going about their business, it's all mere speculation.

I'm not saying this or that, but I cannot understand how everyone seems to be blindly trusting them outright, having seen no evidence to back up the portrayal of the situation, namely that they'd be the complete opposite to the Yanks and would lead us to supremecy within one season.

I'm not defending the yanks here, I'm merely pointing out that there seems to be the consensus amongst pretty much everyone on this board and beyond that DIC will do exactly as everyone seems to visualise them in their (yet) dream world/scenario/outcome of this whole saga.

First time I have seen it suggested that DIC have actually made a second offer to buy the club instead of preparing a bid

I agree on the LFC fan bit. That's the uppermost requirement for anyone willing to invest in this club.

If no one fulfills this criteria at first, we should simply turn them down.

You make the mistake of assuming this is about nationality. The realities of business are now international and are carried out in a global context. We may not like it but we have to live with it.

He's a well-known liverpool fan, he was at Liverpool Uni in the 80s and is a friend of Parry. He was at Istanbul. There's no question here, none at all.
