Mascher "I would like to leave the Premiership"

Mascherano: I Want To Leave Liverpool For Juventus

Javier Mascherano has declared that he wants to leave Liverpool, and has spoken about the possibility of a move to Juventus.

The Argentine is undoubtedly one of the best defensive midfielders in world football, however his future at Liverpool is clouded in uncertainty.

Mascherano's contract is owned by the international fund of investors, Media Sports Investments (M.S.I), who are demanding €24m for their client to stay at Liverpool permanently.

The Anfield club's owners Tom Hicks and George Gillet are refusing to pay such a sum, thus making it inevitable that the player will leave the club.

However Mascherano has now admitted himself that he is keen to depart England.

"At Liverpool I have found my home. I am committed and I cannot complain about how the city has accepted me since I came here,” the 23-year-old told an Argentinean radio station.

“However I feel that now the time has come to move on. I would like to leave the Premiership. A move to Juventus? Well I like to travel.”

Mascherano’s agent Walter Tamer fuelled speculation yesterday when he admitted that his client was likely to be playing in Italy next season.

“Liverpool have not made any offer at all to buy Javier and it is likely that he will go to Italy next season," Tamer stated.

Juventus will complete the transfer of Momo Sissoko this Sunday for €13m, and it now seems possible that Mascherano could join him in Turin.

The Bianconeri fans have been bitterly opposed to Sissoko’s transfer, however they are likely to be much more open to the possibility of Mascherano moving.

It remains to be seen if Juve’s sports director Alessio Secco will listen to Mascherano’s hint of a come-and-get-me plea.

I hope this is BS for so many reasons, mainly coz we need him to stay and also if he lets Juve know he is a realistic target in the summer then they may not proceed with Momo

Well...we left it to late it would seem. We could have had this done a month ago and there would be no uncertainty.

He never said I want to leave Liverpool, he actually said he wanted to stay, but that depends on the club... Also that it was good to see other big clubs interested in him.. (Juve and Milan), But Liverpool wqas where he wanted to play...But it was not only up to him.... he also said he'd had enough of going from one place to another and wanted to settle down...in Liverpool.....

I'll find the paper that run this artical (The daily mail or Telegraph i think,) anyway it reads completely different to that bollocks..It may actually be up in the Mascherano thread...

Still, at least Sissoko is leaving though for an ok sum.

he does have the touch of a rapist at the moment.

On Radio City today they have been running with the story that Mascherano has said he is not leaving Liverpool, it is nice to be linked to clubs like Inter and Juve but he is happy at Liverpool and wants to stay.

So i am thinking this 'Mascher wants to go' story is rubbish.

he has given them warnings all the guy wants is to know were his future lies, thing is if he goes I thikn beneitez will just leave pretty much there and then coz if this isn' a sign of a lack of ambition or having no money I don't know what is. How are we ever going to compete if we only occiaisionally sign a world class player, when Utd, Chelsea & Aresenal have the ability to probably sign 2 a season

                            Comment

he does want to stay, but I believe there is some truth in it and sometimes decisions have to be made and he isn't going to wait around forever while the 2 dunces make their mind up as to whether they want to buy, which I strongly suspect they don't coz of Beneitez

I think he is slowly resigning himself to the fact that we cant afford him and he will have to look elsewhere.

                                And so am I
