With the ****s in charge we are now in the mini league after the top 3, there is Liverpool, Villa, Tottenham, Everton possible Portsmouth and maybe Newcastle. All competitive teams with little to NO chance of ever winning the league.
      Two points:

1/ While I think he is arrogant and some of the stances he takes (such as not talking to the BBC) are ****ish I think that Fergie is at heart an old school football man who wants things to be done in what he sees as the right way. I think he likes the battling of top clubs (admittedly while United win that tussle).

I suspect that the idea that Fergie only supports managers who present no threat is a case of false interpretation of a correlation as causation. He only ever supports a manager he feels is being treated badly - in general this happens to managers who at least in the short term are not getting the best results and frankly there is no need to support a manger who is doing well and has the full backing of everyone around him. I saw quotes today from him praising Wenger and saying how the board/manager interaction at Arsenal had been exceptional.

In this case Rafa is clearly under threat for reasons not to do with football which is clearly something no footballing man would like to see. Fergis for all his faults more often than not talks sense about footballing issues.

2/ Are you including Rafa as one of the '****s'? Because the statement as put could be criticising either him or the owners and maybe both share the blame.

Yeah i suppose Iron Fergie may be mellowing in his old days.

No i am not including Rafa in the '****s' statement, With G&H in charge i can not see them giving Rafa or whoever the manager is the resources to be able to fully compete with the top 3.
          We come not to play.

I've got nothing against him whatsoever and he's sticking up for Rafa so dont see what your problem is.
Problem is he's stirring up mor strife for our club by sticking his oar in.

If he wants to stick up for Rafa, then all he has to do is say "I support Rafa Benitez". But no, he has to give his two penneth.

**** him and his scummy club. You didn't hear our manager commenting on the SCUM takeover.

                    Under Roy Evans.

Even under Ged we were never really that close,2nd one year I know but I think it's been a long time since Fergie considered us a real threat in the league.

I could've just shouted that into you fella!!

When Tommo was temporary manager we were 8 points clear in December.
