Cant do any worse than Parry IMOOriginally posted by kopdan View PostI heard something this morning from a web consultant about Parry. I think it may be he's read the papers and putting two and two together mind but he says he knows someone in the council and that DIC will get rid of Parry in favour of Dein.
Not sure why the council would know this but it may be stadium related.
Do we want David Dein in control?
Isn't it today that the new plans for the new Stadium are revealed or, have i got that wrong!

This would be the coup of the century if Dein took over from Parry. This man is the main reason arsenal are now in their current position. He was the one who convinced the board to let wenger manage the team in the late 90s when at that time there was very few foreign managers in our league. he got the emirates stadium built without too much fuss and now they are making more money from home games compared to scum even though the emirates has a smaller capacity.

dein is a corrupt as they come. a slime bag don't want him near our club tbh..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. we've been debating it for years on here, talking about how corrupt he is, his conection with the FA and all sorts of dubious situations surrounding it, i don't remember any incident at the moment in particular. aren't majority of arsenal fans glad he's gone?"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. By all accounts, apart from the hothouse of fan sites and phone-ins, Parry is very highly regarded amongst the administrators fraternity. I doubt that Dein is held in such high regard in the current Arsenal Boardroom.Originally posted by fredo View PostYes Dein. From what I've read, he's highly regarded amongst the best administrators around. Dunno if he'll be right for us though, he's an Arsenal fan at the end of the day.
IIRC, they spent years fannying around with ridiculous suggestions about moving to Wembley (and sacrificing European success with an ill-judged shift there for the competition); they had a prime site for sale and redevelopment to help fund the move, a sympathetic and supportive council and an appropriate, nearby site to develop on - it may even have been 'brownfield', I'm not sure. At one stage they had to stop working because of cash flow problems, and if I'm not mistaken had to rely on the very deep pockets of another Director - Fizmann or somethinig? - to bale them out. They certainly had to restrict transfer funds. They alienated many fans with some of their bond proposals, and their naming rights deal seems lightweight and desperate - as in they were cash strapped and had to agree. They're certainly coining it now, but that for me leaves the biggest question mark - why not sooner? Their business imperative was so much greater than ours even - for 13 years of the Premiership, or 10 years of being (one of the ) top dogs - i.e. when the money was sloshing around - they were playing in a clearly undersized stadium - 10,000 less than us every game. So what they are making now is in fact an indictment of what they could have made before - say 5 years earlier quite realistically.Originally posted by DeeGame View PostThis would be the coup of the century if Dein took over from Parry. Actually, Dein is clearly a good administrator in many ways; it's just that there's an easy 'grass is greener' tendency to see the positives from the outside as opposed to the obsessing - and complaining - over the minutae of every move, statement, slip etc in our own club that we indulge in.
