    1988 FA Cup Final
    1989 League title
    1990 FA Cup Semi Final

The late 80's team threw away the chance of 3 doubles in successive seasons. The late 80's were a talented bunch - but if you were being cynical you could call them bottlers. The team from the late 70's / early 80's was much better.
wonder why that was you knobhead

    It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
    Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

i was on the dogtrack at Wembley for the second half and extra time for this one. A magical day out. I sat with two girls who were blues, but we had a great laugh.

If i remember my ticket was £8 !!!

I think that was a great side although the football played the season before was the best I've ever seen.

What I'd give for just John Barnes from that side to be in the present day side although we could do with three or four of them at the moment. Imagine having Steve Nicol, Ian Rush and Peter Beardsley now?

I wonder how much those players would go for in todays market.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

it's uncanny how much Babel looks like Barnes when he gets the ball. Shame he hasn't got the skill of Barnes, but give him time he could be great

Barnes, Rush and Beardo and we'd win the title for sure. Without a shadow of a doubt (if they'd play of course ... I'm sure Rafa would play Kuyt instead of Rush and Kewell instead of Digger ...).
