Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Oh yeah I defo think we can beat Inter. I mean we hammered Waterville today 5-2. Inter play in a ****e Italian A league. I think we will probably beat them 3 or 4 nothin' in Milan and probably draw 1-1 at Anfield.

I think we (as a squad) need a game like Inter to galvanise us again.

We seem to be at our best when we're the underdogs. We are pathetic when the onus is on us to go at a team and take the game to the opposition.

This could be just what we need.

On the other hand, we could get ****ted.

Adriano's unlikely to play for them, so their attack will consist of Zlatan, Cruz and Crespo - neither of which should worry Hyypia for pace, if Agger's not back.

I don't think so mate. My gf's an RN and works in Post Op. She's seen this kind of thing turn the healthiest person into someone that could take years to come back. If they don't heal from a metatarsal break in 4-12 weeks, there are way more serious issues at play.

I've been fearing this for a long time, and it's pissing me off that it's most likely true. DA could well be out for the remainder.

Radio show on newstalk in Ireland wed night interviewed some Italian football writer and there's loads of **** over there saying Inter are paying off refs n ****. They've avoided defeats of late with boggy pens late in games that they should have lost. He reckoned it may be sour grapes from AC and Roma fans and officials though.

What would be a good score to take to the san siro?

1nil for us would do nicely, even 0-0 wouldn't be a disaster as i'm confident we can nick an away goal in the 2nd leg.

Isn't this the very thing Inter were accusing Juve of a few years ago?

Speaking to a mate of mine who lives out there, he says Inter are despised by the rest of Italy and everyone will be hoping we knock them out.

I've accepted that he's out for the season now. My bigger concern is now about the long term security of his career.

Indeed, a clean sheet is the priority for me.
