    FA Cup 5th Round

Who do you fancy then, draw is tomorrow at 1.30pm

    Opponents as follows:

    Premiership

    Arsenal
    Chelsea
    Manchester United
    Portsmouth
    Middlesbrough

    Championship

    Cardiff City
    West Bromwich Albion
    Southampton
    Wolverhampton Wanderers
    Barnsley
    Preston North End
    Coventry City
    Sheffield United

    League 1

    Huddersfield Town
    Bristol Rovers

It really is quite astounding that we still have a better than 1/2 chance of drawing a non-prem side, I suppose i'd have to go for either Bristol or Huddersfield, it's about time we got an easier route to the final. Saying that we'll probably draw one of mancs, chelsea of arsenal now

We have to beat the top teams to win it so we might as well start now, good to meet them at Anfield as well instead of Wembley.

I want to win the FAC. The winner only gets £120,000 so its not about money, its about the glory of winning it.

A win at OT would be sweet revenge for the 2-1 a few years back. A proper win, a thumping great 5 niller!!!!!!

So outside the big 4 only Boro and Portsmouth make it to the last 16. Doesn't say much for the standard of the whole PL at the moment. I wonder if the lack of prize money has anything to do with it. One more place in the PL equals 1/2million. 4 times the prize money for winning the FAC.

What are the odds of us winning the treble? It's still a possibility.

No- that simply won't do. If we win at Old Trafford i want us to rob them blind. And i do mean ROB! I want to be stood at Old trafford with a minute to go 1-0 down with them singing abuse at us and mocking us in that sh!te way that mancuunians do and then in the first minute of stoppage time a Torres equaliser. While we're going nuts and they're gutted and I want us to then finish them off in the 6th minute of ****ing stoppage time with a Carragher Header (anyone will do tbh) and I want them crying. I want them to feel that sense of devastation i cried myself to sleep with in 1999. I want them to feel like everything has fallen apart and watch their season go straight down the ****ter like ours did that season.

We've never given them payback for that and until they lose to us in the same way we never will- I want them feeling like they want to kill themselves- that's how I felt in '99 and thats what I want them to feel like this season!

That 1999 cup match in purely football terms is one of my lowest moments as a Liverpool fan. For some reason it felt worse than losing to them in the Cup final in 96.

                              dom9 is the new AA.

We have a one in fifteen chance of drawing Man United.

Based on relative league positions and recent performances and results, I'd suggest we have rather less than a 50/50 chance of beating them - say, 2 in 5.

So I reckon the odds of us losing to Man United are 3/75.

Is that right? I hate stats.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
