Someone explain to me why we cant sign him at the end of the season or at anytime between now and then? I mean the loan deal expires at the end of the season so why spend the money now?

cause he said he wants to have a contract now! If it doesn't happen, he said it is most unlikely that he'll stay with Liverpool (said he will go abroad).
However, he does want to stay here and we must act now, quick!Torres Fan Club Member #2, Lucas Leiva Fan Club Member #1

We can only sign him in a transfer window. So now, or in the summer.Originally posted by redhorizon View PostSomeone explain to me why we cant sign him at the end of the season or at anytime between now and then? He can talk to other clubs from February 1st. There will always be a risk that a club will offer him very high wages.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

not true, we can sign him any day of the week, any week of the year until the loan deal expires. we have his registration settled so we only need to pay up the money and he's ours. we can sign him when we want.Originally posted by dom9 View PostWe can only sign him in a transfer window. And having signalled our intent to keep him (Hicks on the Radio as well as the various newspapers over the past few days) and he still wishes to take "very high wages" then he can **** off!Originally posted by AFII View PostHe can talk to other clubs from February 1st. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

are you sure of this? where has this been confirmed?Originally posted by AFII View PostHe can talk to other clubs from February 1st. There will always be a risk that a club will offer him very high wages.
he will not be a free agent in the summer if we don't sign him, he'll still be owned by kia, and if clubs want him they'll have to buy mach from kia..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. It's in the big DIC thread somewhere. If you have a day or two over then you will find it.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

17£ mill for one of the best players in his position is not all that much, mancs would pay 25 for him and wouldn't regret it. how much did makalele cost, and wasn't he worth it?Originally posted by chrispy View Post£17 M is a tad bit steep for a defensive midfielder, maybe £15M."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun.
