Villa signed an American keeper a couple of days ago so I doubt that they will sign Carson.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i hope we get rid of:
carson - for his own good, he will never dislodge reina
riise - rotten this year and not so good last season either, time to go
sissoko - been ****e since he got injured, maybe he cant adjust to the rotation policy
pennant - not lfc standard, simply not good enough, lack of confidence at a high level???
kyut - love his enthusiasm but for lfc, not good enough
voronin - might be just his first year but again, simply not good enough for this high level
there are a few others who are border line imo:
kewell - never consistently fit, getting old too, can still be a threat but not enough imo
aurelio - consistent but more of a mid table club player, like pennant no confidence at a high level
crouch - again a good player but when you need 10+chances a game to score, for lfc standard not good enough, maybe keep as 4th striker
we need to sell these players to raise funds for at least 5 new players in summer:
new full back - finnan/arbeloa for right back - aurelio (if he stays) +another for left
creative midfielder (attacker behind front two players) - someone with flair and can open tight defences
2 new strikers - must be torres standard or close to it - babel could save us money and be one of them
proper out and out winger - hate to say it but someone in the ronaldo mould - willing to run at players at speed and hit the byelinePeople who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think the list should be who will stay as it would be shorter.
With the exception of the usual 7 or 8 in the first team, I'd clear the rest out.
I'd prefer to see a smaller first team squad but improve the quality. If necessary I'd involve the kids a bit more instead of having two starting elevens.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Not sure thats the way it will go. PL teams need two descent keepers and Sorensen has been bitching all season about O'Neill. I think they will stump up the cash for Carson as he has been doing well for them and new keepers are always a bit of a risk.Originally posted by AFII View PostVilla signed an American keeper a couple of days ago so I doubt that they will sign Carson."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Rafa wont let Kuyt go
I'm not so sure mate. Rafa's ruthless when it comes to getting rid of players. I'm sure Rafa feels his job is on the line and if players such as Kuyt aren't perfroming to the level expected of them then it could end up costing him his job. It sounds crazy but we could end up replacing 3 strikers this summer.

It's a rather big summer for Rafa this one. Last season we'd reached a European cup final and we'd just been taken over with the investment that we all wanted- certainly things were looking up. This season unless the same happens again he's allowed no mistakes, certainly from a owners wanting him to stay at the club point of view.
He needs rid some of that dross now and the longer it stays there, the longer we'll go without so much as a sniff of that title.
People who should never wear the red shirt again after this season:
Voronin
Kuyt
Intadje
Carson
RIISE
People who should probably go as well
Finnan
Hyypia
Leto- just hasn't done anything
Pennant
Kewell- Time's up matey (gutted i love Kewell)
Out of that lot i wouldn't pay anymore than 7 million for the lot- but then again football managers and clubs are stupid so we'll probably get at least 10. Having said that if we get anymore than 11million for the group of Players we should be laughing our bollocks off all the way to the bank!Manchester. . . WANK WANK WANK
