Ged also ****ed up the career of richie partridge who when he was 17-18 was supposedly better than mcmanaman( saw him play for the irish u-19 and he was pure class like).

Now we're one of the least entertaining sides in the league IMO.
under evans it was a joy to watch the pool who can forget fowler making staunton look like an oap as he flicked the ball over him then smashed it into the top corner

he will play them when they are ready mate. he hasnt spent all that time effort and money on this youth set up to never give them a chance.

There are a hell of a lot more than 3 of these kids capable of making it into the 1st team mate, trust me, I watch a hell of a lot of reserve/acadamy football.

Nemeth, Linfield, Barnett, Hammill, Parsonage, Leto, Francis, Pacheco, Adjaravic, Insua, Darby, Hobbs, Bouzanis, Ecclestone, Pourie, Plessis and Amoo are all players with more than enough potential and ability to make it not only into the first team, but to the very top of their profession.

Wether they do or not is down to attitude, luck and desire but every kid I have just mentioned has a ridiculous ammount of talent. If you dont believe me, watch them yourself.

You are so so wrong in not giving Rafa credit for this current crop of youth players.

The seasoned internationals at the club cant seem to handle the pressure of playing for us at the moment with all this **** thats going on, yet you think it would be wise to throw some of these kids in, like a lamb to the slaughter. Madness.

When the time is right, Rafa will give these kids a chance because they are good enough. He sees them in training every day so he has a better idea than us as to wether they are ready to handle the pressure yet or not.

sometimes youth players are the best ones to throw into highly pressurised situations because they dont really think too deeply (other than worrying will their teen acne ever disappear). Fergies wonder youth team of the 90's is a prime example most of them said they never thought about the why and ifs of it they just played

david thompson, steven wright, mike marsh and to a certain extent michael owen are prime examples of the dangers of throwing them in too often and too early.

I still dont understand why you dont recognise that Rafa is doing an outstanding job with the youth set up though, I mean, have you seen just how good these kids are i mentioned before??

Hamill can hardly get a game with Southampton though ive heard good reprots of his progress up in scotland last year. Leto is never going to make it he's a long haired version of Nunez,Linfield is a thinner version of Neil Mellor( tho Mellor is making a slight comeback),Parsonage can hardly get a place on the youth set up ,i'll grant you the swedish chap and nemeth are a credit to Benitez

you dont understand what "potential" or "ability" means.

It is pointless talking to you when you have not seen the players you are dismissing as not good enough.

Rafa has done a gret job with the youth set up and you are talking ****.

Evans had a better record in the league than either GH or Rafa. Now you can say that the league's harder now but thats not relevant. Its like saying Kenny's title win means nothing because there was no Abromovich at Chelsea then. If there had of been we may not have won the league. If the top 4 places had been in the CL back then, we;d have made it every year under Evans. Equally, if it was only the winners now, Rafa wouldn't have got us near it.

Evans was a very decent manager and a great servant to the club.

If he knew how to spot a decent defender he would still be in charge today and we would have racked up a ****load of titles

                            Thats well OTT.

Only time will tell how well Rafa's done with the youth set up. If players either start to come through to the 1st teamor are sold on for decent fees then he's done well. If not, he hasn't.

I think it was more to do with his misplaced faith in david James. Evans chased Friedel for ages, then hardly played him whilst James made error after error. This eventually led to the defence becoming shaky and uncertain, particulary from crosses. In the end, everytime we conceded a corner, you felt we would concede.

I still think if we'd had a top keeper we'd have won the title with Uncle Roy.

No it is not. I know when I see a good player, no matter how old they are. I have never seen a bunch of kids as good as this before. This doesnt guarantee they will make the 1`st team, as ive already said, because it takes more than just ability to make that final step up the ladder.

For the 1`st time in our history though, we have a squad of youngsters who have the "ABILITY" to do so. In the past this has not been the case, maybe 2 or 3 at a time. At the moment i`m seein double figures of kids that are talented enough.
