bloody hell man. you'd give him another season? even if he had his perfect squad of 22 he'd still manage to **** it up.Originally posted by Rhys View Postrafa really should be given till the end of next season. he's not a stupid man and if we can see the flaws of the team then he can surely. i think he will try to ship the deadwood out this summer as he has done in the past.
it was always said that it is a five year plan for us to win the league and it could still be a possibility. we look like we have gone backwards this season despite improving our squad with torres, yossi, babel, lucas etc its clear we have the ability to win the league within our side yet due to odd decicions made by rafa we fail to even compete.
he must know what needs to be done a fool could see kuyt, kewell and all the other ****e dont cut it, however he still persists with them. he should be given one more decent wad of cash to spend on new players and to revitalise our team. i desperately think a assistant is needed though to improve sammi lee should be appointed imo.
Kuyt is ****, even if rafa knows this and plans to bin him in the summer whats stopping him from not playing him now? he's like a stubborn child. HE WILL NEVER CHANGE.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Sorry mate I started writing it straight after the final whistle.Originally posted by Alpha View PostIn fairness, there was at least one thread already open calling for Rafa's head so starting a new one might tempt a few accusations of attention seeking.

I dont buy all this 'losing the dressing room' stuff. Plenty of times I've had a job where I've thought the manager was a useless waste of space but you get your head down and get on with it. If the players don't like/agree with Rafa it shouldnt make them play ****.
It's kick up the arse time:
Armband to Carra.
Gerrard out right, Babel out left. Play Lucas from the start. Yossi/Crouch up front with Torres.
Do this and we might actually look like scoring a goal before the last desperate half hour push.

Rafa is well known not to be the best man manager, and that looks to be exactly what some of our players are missing. They seem to have no confidence in their own ability, 2/3 of the team dont know wether they will be playing from one week to the next.

What did he say to the press" First half was not so good but second half we were controlling the game, we had some good chances, they did not have many chances until the end with the penalty" or somethinbg like that?
Win the game in hand and we are 4th. Hopefully after all the crap recently we have no hit rock bottom and the only way is up. He wont resign and wont be scaked so we jsut have to hope the players can turn it around and start earning their massive salaries that they get win, lose, or draw.."I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

I'm going on what I see on the pitch.Originally posted by Fowler_God View PostWell your approach always seems to be to 'wait and see' and for 'facts' and 'evidence'. Why has your philosophy changed now? If this was a owner bashing thread you would be spouting off your usual stuff.
I thought you of all people would only want Rafa out once its mathematically impossible to win the league and signed documents from Stevie and Carra that indeed Rafa has lost the team.
It's in a way evidence by the way of opinion. It's open to interpretation.
But IMO it's rotten to the core.
And yes I'm guessing as to whether he's lost the players.
But I don't think they're backing him with the required effort.
Carra and Stevie not backing him when a couple of others did could be considered telling.

if he knows what good for himself then he will have to, im saying give him another season to see what if we can progress with better players. i believe that we should ride the storm at the minute and see if rafa has what it takes to pull us out. last week we were all chanting for rafa as he clearly has given us some good times and now some people are calling for his neck now, the owners must be confused.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postbloody hell man. you'd give him another season? even if he had his perfect squad of 22 he'd still manage to **** it up.

whats the point? if we won 10 on the bounce he'd revert to type. when the team wins rafa needs to feel its because of him yet when we lose its somebody elses fault. Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
