When is Rafa going to swallow his ****ing pride and realise that he needs him back. He is a ****-awful man-manager, and needs somebody to be a link between him and the players. Its no coincidence that when Pako was with us we played much better, more disciplined football, with more confidence, and with a smile on our faces.
And, its also about time the team started earning the megabucks we pay them. **** complaining about squad rotation and who deserves or doesnt deserve to play. They are all paid to do a ****ing job to the best of their ability, and even if they were all told to rotate with ****ing Reina, i expect them to put their heart and soul into it. It ain't good enough, not by a long chalk, and blaming Rafa soley for this mess is merely passing the book. Men and boys. And the ones with the biggest bollocks need to step up to the plate and lead by example.

No offence mate, but if Rafa cant see for himself how woefully poor Kuyt is and needs Pako to tell him, then he shouldnt be a manager.

I think Rafa does realize how poor Kuyt is DJS, but i also think that Kuyt is suffering the same lack of confidence that the rest of the squad are right now. The difference being that if you look back, even Kuyt played better when Pako was with us. I'm not saying he would be our savior though, far from it. I do think though that he would instill a little more self-belief. And right now, i'm concerned about steadying the ship before it gets any worse.

That's all fine mate, but the fact is, Pako ISNT here. Kuyt should've been dropped a good few weeks back. But he wasnt. And still isnt.

          No excuses for that.

He plays Kuyt because he has a lot of confidence in him where as he seems to have no confidence in Peter Crouch.

I can only imagine that Kuyt probably works his arse off in training and merits playing in the starting line up where as Crouch is obviously not pulling his weight hence why Rafa won't start him in games.

It's just a shame Kuyt can't pull it off come k.o.

He had a good season last year I just don't understand it. Crouch is very good when he plays to be fair on him and looks a genuine goal threat where as Kuyt doesn't. I'm not going to use the whole 'Kuyt works hard for the team' thing but he does appear to be playing too deep and very out of position. This must be Rafa's instructions.

I was listening to the game before on 96.7 and Nigel Spackman said something that was very true.

When Kuyt is tracking back to Midfield he's doing a very good job for the team, hounding the midfield and making them play balls back to the defence. BUT, what this is then doing is letting the defence knock the ball around with ease with only 1 striker to chase them down as Kuyt can't get back in time to support the other striker because he's in the midfield area which means no pressure on the defence.

He feels that the strikers should be hounding the defence down and making them do mistakes rather than Kuyt getting on to the midfield.

If he make the CL places and has a good shot at CL itself I'd give him one more year as well. It's hard to judge him on this season given what has happened. I always say give a manager five years. Look at ferguson.

                Sorry fella, what's that mean?

Anyway, it's probably gone on too long now. Remember we could still win the Champions League and/or FA Cup this season, but that'll probably just paper over the cracks.

If we win the CL, I think he'll get another year. If we win the FA Cup, not sure. If we come fourth, I think a lot depends on the way us fans feel about him at the end of the season. Lower than fourth and no CL, and he's gone.

The fact is, we're never going to win the league under Rafa, and that, as sad as it sounds is the be all and end all.

It was a wild ride Rafa, but this might be your stop.

it think you're right about pako leaving being a factor but...

it could be worse and could get worse - gotta be weird for players to see pako essentially being sacked or walking out. worse comes when rafa has public fight with owners and even when that's solved the public shafting of rafa - whether intentional or mistaken - by hicks over klinsmann and rafa is a seriously diminished figure in the player eyes.

add serious slump in form and performances and you'd wonder if bringing pako back would do more harm than good? now of all times for rafa to admit he's got something seriously wrong? in an ideal world it would all slot back into place but i don't think it really works like that.

if your manager and assistant have afight and go seperate ways mid-club, it's a problem.

if you have a manager making public statements about money, you should get worried.

if the chairman/owner is in the press all the time, get more worried.

if there's ongoing fighting and backstabbing between manager and owner and speculation about selling again you've got to wonder what the **** is going on.

bring back the manger's assistant? dunno what it would solve.

and that's without mentioning poor performances and weird decisions before anything publi went wrong.

Understand what youre saying mate, and looking at my posts it looks like i'm a big fan of Pakos. But i would have been just as happy to have seen Sammy Lee, or Gary Mac there as second in command. I just think Rafa needs someone else with a strong personality, who the team respect, to be be able to influence not only him, but the squad aswell,..a middle man if you like? Works at my place every time, the good cop bad cop scenario. My second in command's a perfect gentleman who can see good in everybody, and i'm just a bad tempered cunt.

Before showing the door to Rafa, lets think about a few things.

                      1) Rafa took us to an all-time high in the League of 81 points, it cant just be a fluke. May be he has the potential, but he needs to be given some time, atleast till the end of the season. May be by their he would prioritize the club above his ego!

                      2) Two of the four consistent players of our squad Torres and esp. Masch wouldnt prefer to stay with us. May be even Xabi! Without these two players and new manager who is twice as good as Rafa, we might still be in the same position where we are in the League and added to that we wont be the favourite English team to win the Big ears.

                      3) How many world class players would like to come to our club this summer, if Rafa is sacked?? Who would wish to come to club where there is no stability of the manager or even the board and the owners?? We would surely lose our first choice targets to our rivals and end up with second and third choice journeymen.

On the present form of team, this season Rafa is an utter failure and he is one of the main reasons for the under-performance on the pitch. But, sacking him wont do much good to the team in the short run. The best thing is to wait for Rafa to learn from his mistakes. Again thats a big WHEN! The first thing he should do is to get a No.2. Or else, if he is sacked im sure we will have to wait for another two more seasons to build a great team that is good enough to challenge for the Title.

The tagline is, if Rafa is sacked we will only go two or three seasons back rather than forward, But it might be a good move in a long run!

RCDNW = Rafa Can Do No Wrong

Which sadly doesn't seem the case at the moment.

He deserves until the end of the season though. There's nothing to be gained from sacking a manager mid season.
