Rafa Benitez and his football philosophies, squad rotation and tactics.
    Dare we believe

We have very little movement. It was always about pass and move - seems like this philosophy has not been in use since Uncle Roy left - a coincidence?

I am disappointed Rafa has not tried to recruit someone like Roy Evans (or Sammy Lee, Thommo etc etc).

Until we play football with a swagger/confidence/arrogance we will not progress and teams seem to actually enjoy visiting Anfield these days.

It is time to make Anfield a place of fear and dread for the opposition, and this is down to the way we play. Too much ****in respect for the opposition!!

Rafa is too stubborn to do something like this. We all also need to get a grip that we are not the Liverpool of the 80's and Anfield isn't a place strikes fear in other teams.

Old Trafford is a place where teams go knowing Man Utd are not trying just to win a game but they are trying to hammer the other team by 3 or 4 goals.

After seeing Rafa's Valencia make GH's Liverpool look like Rag Dolls, we all dreamt of seeing that kind of free flowing, pass & move footy, when he arrived here nearly 4 yrs ago. Alas, we are still waiting. All we seem to play these days is turgid, horrible long ball hoof. Even Svens Man City is a much better team to watch, and they certainly don't have a better squad than us. I'm afraid it just comes back to Rafas over defensive, over cautious approach.

Another thing, keeping the starting line up secret from the players till 10 mins before kick off. That's the kind of bollox i'd hate as a player, and one of the reasons he seems to have lost the dressing room.

Wenger said it the other day, a team reflects the manager's personality.

Benitez is too analytical for the PL. The team appear to be in a stasis waiting for something to react to
              Francis.

...."Any team that concedes as few goals as we concede is going to be tough to play against..." - Fernando Torres on Liverpool

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

              A defensive mid for £18m?

That my friend is rubbish - Rafa may or may not have lost the dressing room but it's standard not to reveal the team until just before the team sheet needs to be submitted for a number of reasons.

And if the players had a clue who they were playing with, maybe they wouldn't
run around like strangers on the pitch.

Well, the fact that in the premier league we look so average is more a point to blame Rafa than Hicks! He is the manager, he bought the players and he insist on keeping playing the same mediocre players!

Not enough of our players are comfortable and confident on the ball. Plus the players dont get on a roll because they are playing with different players every game.

Rotating should only be used when it needs to be, not just for the sake of it.

We have no natural pace in the team bar Torres. Gerrard is playing 1 game in 3 well; the rest are average; compare that to Ronaldo. We have no one to play with Torres. We have no natural wide, cunning or fast player. Hyppia is past it and is a long ball player from the back, always has been. Our fullbacks never overlap to create additional space and chances. We are playing with zero confidence and belief. Also one small fact ..... Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are three of the best teams in Europe and their consistency is unreal. Apart from that we're great.

Because we sit there waiting for the player on the ball to do something instead of attacking as a team.

We are a counter attacking side who can't counter attack at home and away.

If you can catch my drift.
