Rafa spent 56 million quid on new players this season and our first 11 hasn't really improved judging by our league position. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT NET SPEND.

If you still cannot grasp what I'm talking about I implore you not to respond.

You should have make this clearer. Look at your post.

I think we've improved. We're scoring more goals and creating more chances. We're also controlling games better but we've been lacking a cutting edge. Of all the games we've drawn and lost, we probably deserved to have brought back at least 12 points from them.

Our football has improved too. But it was probably asking too much of the team this season still. Look at the pace set by Arsenal and Man Utd. It's just breathtaking.

Only a fantastic team can break their stranglehold this season.

Ok Fredo, let's agree to disagree.

You think we've improved and I think we've gone backwards, we play appalling football and we're battling for 4th place.

You see football different to I do and you always will. For me, this season has been totally unacceptable on the pitch. Forget about the pace set by United and Arsenal, we're on a par with Villa, Everton, Portsmouth and City.

Sorry, but I had to respond 1 more time. I've looked at my post and from the start I never mentioned net spend. I spoke only of the fact that Rafa HAD spent 56 million quid on players this season. I don't think I could've any clearer.

But this is over a turbulent 3 months, not over Rafa's whole reign. We looked excellent at the start of the Season and in November we were right up there and in that period it has seen all our confidence drain out. Hopefully today will help spark a revival for our lads.

Let's hope so but if I'm totally honest today was not an impressive performance. Sunderland were awful, completely awful. And the first half pushed me over the edge. Carra at right back, Lucas left midfield Ridiculous stuff. Thankfully we got the rub of the green today as Sunderland had two very good claims for penalties not given.

We're low on confidence, this explains our performance. We weren't that bad.

What if Carra plays at right back or Lucas plays left midfield ? It's as if Rafa is a ****ing muppet, or at least, some of you make him out like that.

Finnan has been poor though and Arbeloa is injured and we desprately lack a left winger. Lucas problems today did not stem from him being on the left, they stemmed from him forgetting how to pass, I feel it was still more productive than Kewell has been and Babel has been useless when starting games recently. Carra didn't exactly have a mare a right back did he? He even got himself an assist.

I never said he was a muppet but he really does make some baffling decisions.

                        Did they? Which ones mate?

There was that one that was clearly outside the box (Finnan's tackle) and the Carra claim is never a pen for me - blasted at his elbow from almost point-blank range...those are never pens in my view.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Carra's assist was superb. Apart from that he was pretty average but that's to be expected because he's not a full back and never will be. As for Lucas's performance, it was always going to be difficult for him because I'd wager a bet that was the first time he's ever played on the left side of midfield. I agree with you re Kewell, he doesn't deserve a place in the side but Babel should've started. You say he's been useless starting a game recently, well that worries me. After all Rafa spent 10 million quid on him.

Rafa needs to stop putting square pegs in round holes. Play players in their preferred positions and stop chpping and changing as much as he does. Then maybe the players won't play like they've never played together before.

                            Not Finnan's tackle.

If Mascherano had raised his foot as high as he did outisde of the box it would've been given as a foul. His foot practically reached the Sunderland's player shoulder.

And if we had a shot on goal that hit an opposition's defenders raised arm and we weren't awarded a penalty we'd be up in arms (pardon the pun )

Both were decent shouts in my opinion.

High foot would be an indirect free kick not a penalty.

Oh yeah...the Masher one. I agree had it been outside the box it would've been a foul but these sort of incidents happen all the time. For some reason it takes a different type of foul in the area for a penalty to be given.

It would've been harsh in my view.

I honestly wouldn't complain if we weren't given a pen in that situation (Carra). Point-blank range ones never are for me, and his arm didn't move towards the ball. Didn't have ****ing time to for a start!
