This 'scoop' is something any one of us could write and be at least 80% correct. The alonso one isn't a complete shock as he was close to leaving last year, but the rest are just logic surely, ill be amazed if all those players actually leave though. is it that simple ?

Carra was at right back because Finnan has been in poor form for months. Finnan was a second half sub because Aurelio got injured.Originally posted by RoadEnd View PostI think Bascombe is trying to get a move to the SUnday SPort with that article.
Although to be fair, I also wondered if Rafa had finally lost the plot with Carra at RB, Finnan at LB and Lucas on the left.“Hicks could have purchased Dallas’ MLS franchise but decided not to. ‘In hindsight, I probably made the wrong decision,’ he said.“.

I agree with the sentiment that the article is very one sided and reactionary... BUT... Maybe Bascombe is trying to keep up the pressure so we don't suddenly turn around and say everything is fine with the Yanks. Maybe he's prodding us to react more because he genuinely feels that Hicks is a serious threat to the long term future of our club. And is using our love of Rafa to get us wound up.... Just my opinion like....Lucky owes Kopdan £10

I was at the game yesterday and that match report is an absolute disgrace.
We weren't great in the first half but we still something like 70% possession, it was just the final third where we lacked the cutting edge to get through a defence that consisted of 10 men.
In the second half we got the breakthrough and from then on it was pretty plain sailing, we could have scored 4-5 easy.
The protest at the end was NOTHING to do with Rafa it was purely about the owners.
I've lost a lot of respect for Bascombe after this, he just sounds like a man on a mission to slag off Rafa no matter what.:whatever:

Yes Yes, Agreed. Just finished a post on the Epic thread with a comment on Bascombe, i like others were keen to see his 'Scoop', or 'Poop' as it turned out to be. Anyway while i was on the site i decided to read some of his other stuff, it's my opinion he has a problem with Rafa.
His match report was poor to say the least, mocking even, a tone i detect in a lot of his LFC scribbles, i came to the conclusion the man is an ass, out to gain notoriety off the back of someones hardships, a typicall tabloid journo, he seems to revel in Rafa's plight. He's enjoying the coverage he get's from Liverpools troubles, tosser.

Yup and we are now only 17 points behind Arsenal and with Man Utd drawing we have closed that gap to 15. Oh and if we don't win our game in hand we will be behind Everton in 5thOriginally posted by Darth Marty View Postwe won 3-0.

All that hype for nothing.Originally posted by Gazzla View PostSo just to get this right in my mind, Bascombes big story is that we will be selling Carson, Crouch, Riise, Voronin and maybe Xabi in the summer? **** me what a scoop :whatever:

I'm getting sick of all these big scoops. When I logged on to the net this morning I thought I was actually going to read something interesting or important.
Oh well.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Bascombe apologised!
Taken from TLW,
"Just a note to express my horror at any implication in my website report the post-match protest last night was against Rafa.
No such words were written by me and the line in question is being changed to match the report which appears in the printed edition of the newspaper.
I offer my own sincere apology to those fans who stayed behind last night as I'm fully aware of the motives behind their actions."

i've always liked Bascombe and was surprised at his match report but his apology on TLW seems sincere enough.
As for his scoop, whilst we've all got a long list of players we'd like to go, if he's had confirmation that those players will go then its a big story.
Its 1 thing us all saying who should go, its another someone at the club confirming it.AKA Heighway No9
