So NOTW changed it to suit their **** style reporting.Originally posted by kmtl View PostBascombe apologised!

"Just a note to express my horror at any implication in my website report the post-match protest last night was against Rafa.
No such words were written by me and the line in question is being changed to match the report which appears in the printed edition of the newspaper.
I offer my own sincere apology to those fans who stayed behind last night as I'm fully aware of the motives behind their actions."Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

IF that his him on TLW, he's admitting there he knows that his bosses/editors change his stories, using lies to make them more sensationalist (and even suggesting a potential anti liverpool agenda) and yet he continues to work for them.Originally posted by kmtl View PostBascombe apologised!

they must pay well."At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

i actually agreed with most of what he said about our on pitch performance and player shortfalls. i'd also much rather finish mid table next season and start from scratch rather than have some of the **** left playing for us as we continue to go through a 5 year transitional period.
One thing for certain if we are to even dream of competing next season then major changes need to take place.

It's not as black and white as that though. If someone like Carra has lost faith in his manager's abilities doesn't that concern you? Surely Carra is one of the most honest pros in the premiership. Is it so beyond the realms of possibility that there may be a very good reason why Carra's allegedly disillusioned with Rafa?
It's best to consider both sides of the story here without automatically siding with Rafa just because he's the manager. It's fine many on here supporting Rafa to the hilt but it's dangerous if you can't even fathom that the players may have a good reason for losing faith and Rafa may actually be at fault.

DS, I am surprised you have been taken in by Bascombe and his hangers on who portray themselves as being in the know. Duncan Oldham and his purple wheely bin have closer ties to the club.
The current facts are: The yanks have secured a loan for the club, they have made peace with Rafa. Therefore the gutter press have to manufacture other stories to continually grind us into the ground

To be honest I prefer to use my own judgement on what I see on the pitch re players moods etc, than word of mouth from some Journo who's sold out to the scum.Originally posted by desertscouser View PostIt's not as black and white as that though. But I think we can all see it's not a happy camp.
Has Carra lost faith in the manager? Who knows. I certainly think him and Stevie will be hedging their bets. As will the others. Rafa doesn't pay their wages, does he?
Everything's up in the air, Hicks could stay and Rafa could go, DIC could take over and Rafa could stay, DIC could even take over and sack Rafa. So the players aren't going to publicly align themselves with a manager who could go - especially as it's now misguidedly become a Yanks V Rafa thing for many, or that defending Rafa's become a rallying point for getting them out.
It's a bad situation all round, let's be honest the players are only human, of course they're going to question the manager, most fans are, more so in recent times Rafa hasn't helped himself by playing the silly bugger with bizarre team selections and tactics.
I think he's been very lucky that Hicks has made a show of himself and that so many have fallen for his rhetoric re the campaign opposing the Americans (because if there wasn't one he'd be under massive pressure from most fans I reckon). In reality it has nothing to do with him, he's an employee of the club, albeit a vital position, but if he does a bad job he can be replaced, if Hicks and Gillett **** things up the club's ****ed.I hate Polanski

I was merely pointing out that if the stories were true then it's best not to simply side with the manager without knowing the facts. Contrary to popular belief, a manager is not always right.

The uncertainty of the whole situation is a nightmare but it's obvious that things aren't right on the pitch.
I can't wait till it's sorted one way or another so we can just get back to discussing on the pitch matters again.

OK, yes I think the 'ship them out then' is a kneejerk reaction. I have too admit that the team selection was a bit odd but looking back in hindsight, we need to get Skrtel up to speed quickly as we only have Carra and Sami available at the moment. Having Sami and Carra giving advice during the game must have been a great education for him. I have to say Carra did look a bit head down at the end, having said that he done more running in this game than he has done for a long time, I put it down to him being knackered.Originally posted by desertscouser View PostI haven't been taken in by him Garry. Myself, I dont think the manger is always correct, however, managers have mor active brain cells than players have, so you have to give them the benefit of the doubt
