Yeah but **** me Cech has made a fair few clangers this season. Casillas makes a few whoopers as well and Buffon is 10years older than Pepe and in his prime for a keeper.
I think its unfair to say he isnt the good because he doesnt have many shots to save. Pepe is very good at staying big and not going to ground quickly. He is also very strong at getting down low when needed and has a good command of the area.
I honestly think we can forget about the keeper position for the next 10 years

If Reina decided to leave only then would people realise how good he is (or was), especially as we could end up with carson between the sticks long term
Well considering Rafa is a defense first coach, frequently uses two defensive midfielders and looks not to lose/concede, these are all factors that have helped Reina with his cleansheet record.
I dont deny he's good for Rafa's system, but put him in a different team with a more attack minded coach and I doubt he would hit the same heights.
Gone are they days of 'Calamity' James, Friedel (who's a star now!), Kirkland, Westerveld, Arphexad, Dudek... when you just knew they'd **** up at one point or another.
As said above - our GK position is sorted for the next 10 years if he carries on like this

That's more like it. You have a point but I still think he's a great keeper in his own right. The way he commands his penalty area is top class. He's a great shot stopper, brilliant at saving penos and his distribution is top class.

Actually, I think the opposite.
Reina doesn't get many chances to show what he is capable of. One of the reasons why Casillas has been so outstanding lately is because Schuster is allowing his team to abandon defensive responsibilities and play with flair, safe in the knowledge that Casillas will stop the vast majority of the inevitable attacks he will have to face.
I would back Pepe to benefit in the same way from a similar approach.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Agreed mate.

I stated I disagreed with his opinion, but the trend for constantly flaming people on this site is the reason it's going down the k**talk route. I just don't see the need to publicly ridicule someone elses opinion rather than constructively taking it apart in a reasonable manner.
To be fair this is happening on all the sites now. Fans are ****in worried about our future and havin a pop at each other. Tensions are high
