I think if you want to buy shares as a joint effort you should do it with your mates and not a group of web site members, it is just a recipe for disaster.

I agree mate and like you if this does come off i'll be buying a share alone, just imagine the arguing if a decision went against your vote, i can only see this ending up in major fighting amongst people. I know you'll say that before you enter into it you will be of the understanding voting will be done by popular decision but your bound to get one or two who wouldn't be happy with it.

Also the idea of the share is to have it and pass it down to children etc over the years.

I don't see how people would decide over what happens with the share over time either.

I was in the process of buying two LFC shares but the Texan Whore beat me to it. I have applied for a separate share but if its allowed would be happy to join an EST1892 share

Probably with the majority in having absolutely no idea how bad an owner Hicks would be for our club. It's obviously a reactionary movement that's being considered.

The way I see it if I and 49 others lobbed in a 100 quid each and we bought a share I would be more than happy for one of the mods (Shaggy say) to hold it in his name. I wouldn't expect to be asked my opinion on everything. If we were to elect a president etc then maybe the 50 members could be polled on the subject to decide where the vote was going. But that would be it. I don't expect the seat in the ****ing directors box for £100. The important thing is that one more share and 5 grand is raised. And while we're an the subject I think it's a disgrace some people are ridiculing the idea. Some of Tom's earlier posts hit the nail right on the head for me. Can you imagine if we managed to push this through? Some of the Mancs are already panicking about us stealing a march on them regarding fan ownership.

i'll be buying my own if it comes off and i'll happily contribute to an est share if it was developed as above. I'm really not expecting any privileges in return.
