IMO, squad rotation is great, because Mourinho and other managers never know what to expect! They never figure out who'll be playing and what's our strongest team. Therefore I believe Rafa has a big advantage over CSKA London's manager wannabe!Torres Fan Club Member #2, Lucas Leiva Fan Club Member #1

Well he's playing LW today.Originally posted by kurtangle01In one of tomorrows papers, not sure which one, he says that he's fed up with sitting on the bench and he hates the rotation policy implemented by Rafa. Apparently he's only started 1 of our last 7 CL games away from home, I didn't know that, and wants to play more!!
This is the first I've read or heard anything about this and it's probably the press doing their best to twist some comments but I thought I'd post it anyway.

I heard the 1 start in 7 thing the other day after our game against PSV. Last CL games away from home (going from memory here, so bare with me! Not including CL qualifiers):
PSV - SG on bench
Benfica - SG on bench
Chelsea - SG start
Anderlecht - Can't remember, I think SG was injured for this one.
Betis - SG on bench
Chelsea (semi) - SG start
Juve - SG injured
That's 2 out of 7, so either they're including CL qualifiers, or they can't count.
If I include CL quals (again, on memory here) we've played:
Haifa - Don't know whether SG started this one
3rd qualifying round 2005 (Sofia?) - Pretty sure SG started this one.
Kaunas (2nd qual round) - SG started here
TNS - SG on benchLast edited by TheStig; 17-09-06, 11:23 AM.
