    A "promise" from Hicks

Sorry if this has been posted already but I just stumbled over this little comment from you know who...

Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks vows to play more active role in club despite fan backlash ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks has signaled his desire to play a decisive role in the club’s future, despite opposition from fans.
Supporters angered by the ownership of Hicks and fellow American George Gillett Jr. last week launched a member-share scheme to try to raise 500 million pounds (US$995 million; euro670 million) for a takeover bid.
But Hicks won’t be driven into selling his stake to either "Share Liverpool FC" or UAE-based group Dubai International Capital,
"I’m anticipating a more active role in Liverpool," Hicks told The Associated Press at the Texas Rangers baseball franchise he also owns. "I really don’t want to comment more at this point."
Hicks wouldn’t be pressed on the club’s financial stability.
The attempted fans’ takeover was prompted by heightened concerns about the club’s debts stemming from a 350 million pound(US$682 million; euro470 million) refinancing deal agreed last month on the loan used to purchase the Reds a year ago.
Fan anger also stems from the perceived undermining of popular manager Rafa Benitez, with ex-Germany coach Juergen Klinsmann approached by Hicks as a possible replacement.
The 18-time English champion is fifth in the Premier League standings, 17 points behind leader Arsenal.

More reason to make sure he knows that he is not welcome to ever come back to Liverpool.

He doesn't half do some talking, there is quote every few days.
Under Moores you only heard him when he got interviewed on the bus after winning a Cup.

He just want a better deal.

Like telling DIC that what they offered so far(not any public offer) isn't good enough.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
