Overseas Reds - How do you feel about overseas league football?

It's even more disgusting when supposed Reds laugh it off as though its not important. Oh its only one game drawn by ****ing lottery.

Not one has shown how this is fair and equitable for all teams.

It undermines the competition. Surely any ****ferbrains can see that.

But apparently we're just small minded and petty because we want a league competition that means something.

The english premier league is about teams FROM england playing each other IN england. If it becomes anything else then all football that I grew up loving has gone. If the idea of 20 clubs playing each other home and away in a battle to see who earns trhe most poiunts at the end of the season isnt exciting enough for the modern football fan then I am not sure I want to be a part of this new circus.

There is no way this will happen though because it will just alienate more or less every football fan in england.

I don't want to get into an OOT debate, but to say that it exists primarily for people in Liverpool is an extinct view. It hasn't existed solely for people in Liverpool since Shanks came along.

Saying that I totally agree that if people want to see the reds in action in the PL they should have to go to England - end of! I am going from Oz in September (all going well) myself and can't wait.

I was thinking about going over to Anfield later in the year also with a couple of mate but honestly with my mates having American accents I could see there being trouble especially when there is alcohol involved

All genuine football people will be opposed to this because it ****s up the competition. Its as simple as that.

Anyone who is happy to **** up the competition for a bit of fun or more money has little regard for the game of football.

We may as well make every game a friendly if the competitions matter so little that they can be pissed about with like this.

It will happen if the people who run the Premier league see a way to make more $$$$$ and the people in charge of the clubs see a way to make more $$$$$. It is PRIMARILY for liverpool, of course it ****ing is. Why do you think it is called LIVERPOOL football club. This is not an extinct idea whatsoever my friend. I go on more or less every day how the champions league is a disgrace, yet another money spinner. How can it even legally be called the ****in champions league when there are only a handful of champions in the ****er?

The European Cup should only be league winners, and in knockout format all the way IMO

Hopefully there will be some real protesting done around the grounds this weekend. I wonder though if the less well off teams might like the idea - a bit of marketing help and revenue for them. We will see Saturday.

No Coops - keep your knickers on. I mean people that can see that this idea is just the PL and greedy chairmen trying to get more cash by whoring and ****ing the game up completely. This would only be the start. The season after they would want 2 games abroad, then 3 and so on.

Sooner or later this circus it has become is going to take one greedy step too far and lose my interest in the game altogether. This could very well be that step if it happened.
