When Was The Last Time We....................

hit the ground running at full speed in pursuit of The League Title?

Once during the whole of the PL?

F'k'nell, I am so, so pissed off right now, even going on one of our good runs of last season we'd still be playing catchup with pompey this season no less.

Ah well, bring on the barcodes on Weds and pray for an exciting 4-3 to us, I'd take a 1-0 to us right now though.

    Pah!

Didn't we start with 30 points from the first 12 games under Houllier the season Arsenal went unbeaten, we hardly won a game after that if I remember correctly.

Here's to ****ting the Barcodes at Anfield.......
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Better starting slowly than finishing slowly if you ask me. We'll be there or thereabouts, i have no doubts about that. We played quite well today without producing the end product. For the past two games we've seen some improvement. We have some new players and some not 100% fit and that's contributed to our poor start.

Agree, I know we haven't started well but you'd think they dicked all over us from the way some people are reacting. Hopefully we react to that the way we did to them beating us at Anfield last year, starting with us pissing on the barcodes mid-week

Some reactions have been laughable, considering this is arguably the toughest game we'll face all season!

Indeed, we've had a few dodgy results.performances before today which have coloured this a bit, but the phrase "knee-jerk" does spring to mind when reading some of this.... actually I remember similar stuff starting last year on forums around this time.

The problem here is that a slow start last season cost us the title. Now we are having another slow start and some people are on here saying not to worry remember last season....................well I do remember last season when we finished 3rd. Are we or are we not trying to improve on last season and challenge for the title?
                  Dare we believe

We were playing against 10 men for almost half the game though.
