money will decide it, and DIC have far,far deeper pockets than hicks.

I am sure GG is now hitting back at the fat Texan for blocking his sale. But he and DIC have to do is sit back for 3 months and if hicks can match dic then all they have to do is top up their offer say 10 15 million more and add a few sweeteners on. Hicks is ****ed as the US banks are going to the federal reserve and no one in their right mind is going to buy into a none us sports team and also have no say in it's running.
I wouldn't trust GG as far as I could throw him. I reckon he'd sell up to hicks if the price was right.

No, there isn't any chance at all that he will sell up to Hicks if he has any chance to avoid it.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Mate, I am actually confident that DIC will eventualy complete the takeover but there's no doubt in my mind that GG would sell to Hicks if he outbid DIC. Why people trust GG I have no idea.

Liverpool FC stadium: Club looks for quick decision
                    Mar 16 2008

LIVERPOOL FC’s third stadium design is now being scrutinised by town hall planners.

The proposal, revealed by the Liverpool Daily Post in January, was drawn up by Dallas-based architects HKS after the club’s American owners decided the previous idea was too expensive.

Because of a technicality, the Reds were allowed to submit an amended version of their second planning application, which was approved by councillors late last year.

In theory, it should take council officials less time to assess than an entirely new document, speeding up the planning process.

But no date has yet been set for the planning committee to meet and discuss the proposal for a 60,000-seater stadium at Stanley Park.

Liverpool are confident the scheme will be backed by councillors, as the previous two ideas were both given the green light.

A council spokesman said: “An amended application has been submitted because the decision notice from the previous one had not been formalised.”

Community leaders today called on city bosses to demand Liverpool draw up a full planning application.

Liberal councillor Steve Radford, who has campaigned for years against the principle of letting the club build on Stanley Park, said: “I believe it is unacceptable that this scheme is treated as an amended application.

“I am concerned we will not see the same level of consultation as we did previously.”

But the council today insisted more than 11,500 households would be asked for their views on the stadium proposal over a three-week period.

A spokesman also said objections raised when the previous plan was approved by councillors would be passed onto the planning committee again when it eventually meets.

The new design incorporates the 18,500-capacity stand-alone Kop, which Mr Hicks had insisted was crucial to his plans.

There is also room for extra seats to be added at a later date, although this would need council approval.

I think today's little leak from an "Anfield source" are continued signs that GG is sirring from his self imposed slumber. First we had the comment earlier in the week about him making the wrong choice of partner, now the "no intention of selling anything to TH".

The fact he has arrived in the public arena is a good thing, he knows the end is nigh and his starting his PR campaign to get out looking decent. If he plays this carefully, he'll have a tidy profit and our thanks for ****ing off TH from the club.

Regardless of him being equally culpable in this instance and I despise them both, if he apologises and ****s Hicks over then he's a better man than David ****ing Moores and Rick Cunting Parry, the pair of silent cowards.
                      Gillett and Hicks are cunts

I remember weeks ago, the 18th of March being mentioned as very significant.

Could it maybe be tied in to the 90 days somehow?

I may well be wrong but I thought it was Feb 18th that was mentioned?

Heard yesterday about Hicks 'other investors' may involve someone called Ross Perot or parts of his family, this has supposed to have come from someone who knows Jimmy Melia, who seems to be on Hicks payroll just lately, I googled this fella and he once ran for office and seems minted.

Only got this second hand so could easily be bollox.

Really hope Bascombe is right today about Gillet not selling to Hicks. Think Hicks is gonna go down fighting if he goes at all.

Ross Perot is indeed minted, and he ran for President a few years back. I would imagine he is in his 90s by now though.
                                Oh I don't know.
