Someone on http://forums.icnorthwest.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=11 is suggesting Gillett has sold his share to Hicks 15% and DIC 35%. meaning Hicks is in total control.

How has hicks paid for this 35%, not another loan against the club?:whatever:

I'm sure you've seen Cowtownred's post by now. Typical Journo peice really.

Isay that in the sense that he adds points that he believes to be true from a trusted source, but also mixes it with things that are only his opinion from the outside looking in.

This post caused uproar on RAWK, so much so that CTR had to come back on and post that some of it was his opinion only. Journos and bascombe included, do this all the time. In that sense no, he can't be trusted.

To be fair to Bascombe, without his fiction and predictions they would nevr be able to make a back page story out of it as there would only be a couple of lines!

Then a couple of lines is what it should be. This country could surely do with a dedicated sports paper, with good writers, writing only fact. Clubs would give them exclusives if they kept it real, so fans would read. Then again i'm sure it would've been done by now.

The amount of people buying papers like The Scum & Star etc, proves maybe that we dont need one. But that's a sad enditment of the sporting world we live in.

There was a interview on Radio City terrace talk today with Jimmy Melia. Apparently a good friend of Tom Hicks. When asked about Hicks and the speculation about him selling out to DIC Meila said Hicks was fully committed to LFC and was going to be here for the next Twenty years. And supporters attempts to oust him were a waste of time. When asked about the supposed break down in the relationship between G&H he refused to comment because he did'nt personally know Gillett. Melia was obviously Being Hicks mouth piece but it did'nt sound like Hicks is moving on any time soon.
Anybody else hear it. ?

Elisha Scott is a personal friend of Steven Gerrard. The 'not him' part refers to SG (i think).
