Also if the rumour about £460 million is right that is almost double of what they wanted to buy us for last year so if the have offered that it says to me they want us more than ever.
Agree. Am I right in saying that the DIC thing is now slowly passing from being just a rumour and is now becoming an open secret?
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Seems to be that way now. The fact that DIC have not come out with any statment speaks for itself. They were even talking to H&G last year about a small stake in the club.

Also with this rumour of Mike Ashley offering them Newcastle it only confirms the rumour that they are after a club and are after Liverpool. LOL I think he would have to pay them £250 million to take newcastle off his hands.

Could Hicks' reported "softened stance" towards a DIC bid be due to Ashley offering Newcastle as an alternative?
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

hypothetical : DIC buy out h&g , being business men want success and quick so sack rafa and bring in a "yes" man to front the club for them....how long till the "DIC out" protests begin?

(p.s. dont have a go at me, i'm only asking a question)
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Just HOPE that DIC Finally take over from these clown's, but were they at the Barnsley game, H&G or either, was told they were, if so WHY, if they're about to sell, why risk the aggravation, the chance of being hit by a flying Pie.

I mean why even bother turning up, they have no feeling for the club, are about to give it up for a Few Dollars More, i dont get that, they know the fan's feeling towards them, a better signal that they are about to Bail would be for them to stay far far away, mmm, unless they needed to meet someone from DIC. ???? Naah.

lol i think this is being over thought. From whats gone on its made me think that G&H never planned to be around for more than a year or so. They're opportunists and saw the chance of making a quick profit and they're going to do that.

Anyway im pretty sure Hicks is hated in Newcastle; something to do with sacking loads of workers from some business that was based in Newcastle.

G&H weren't at the game. It'd be all over the press surely?

                            remember this?

Mark this date in your calender – February 18th 2008. Massive press conference being planned at Anfield as we speak. The club has been sold to DIC for 375 million pounds that will give the current owners $710 million – a $70 million profit. Al Ansari, CEO of DIC has completed hid due diligence.

The players and staff were made aware of this prior to the Luton game. Rafa's job is safe but he has to bring in an assistant, this will be Gary McAllister. Rick Parry who offended members of DIC last year, will 'step down' and the new owners will bring in David Dein as a replacement.

No more money will be available for transfer's in the January window as the current owners will not sanction any deals, unless players are sold. The Summer will see massive player investment from DIC, believed to be in the region of 85 million + whatever is made from player sales. This could see a transfer budget of around 115 million. This is not a rumour, this is all ligit.

                            cant see it myself
You two scousers are always yapping,I'm gonna show you some serious rapping.

DIC eyeing possible Newcastle United bid

                              By Rob Stewart

The future direction of Newcastle United was the subject of heightened speculation last night after fresh rumours surfaced suggesting owner Mike Ashley is willing to sell the club less than a year after his £134 million takeover.

The Dubai International Capital (DIC) consortium are said to have been contacted by Ashley's representatives about a £300 million sale.

The link with a Middle East consortium frequently mooted as Liverpool's suitors emerged after it was reported that a Tyneside-based group of businessmen were putting together a £250 million takeover bid and they want former club captain Alan Shearer on board.

"Alan has been contacted by a group who want to try to buy Newcastle," a source close to the talks said yesterday.

"They're from the North East. What they want from Alan is not his money but his support, his blessing."

Newcastle have regularly been at the centre of speculation suggesting Ashley is ready to sell up.

The club have undergone major upheaval since he took over last summer. As well as sacking Sam Allardyce and replacing him with Kevin Keegan, the sports retail tycoon appointed Dennis Wise as the club's director of football.

Over the weekend Ashley and club chairman Chris Mort were the subject of a thinly veiled attack from Allardyce.

"Huge businessmen, multimillionaires in their own right, very clever men, but never been shouted at," Allardyce said.

"They can't stand the pressure, their knees buckle, they don't stand strong and they use the easy option to take the pressure off themselves. They have to be the strongest ones and often they're the weakest ones."

Looks like Ashley, went cap in hand to D.I.C. Hope they told him to **** off.

I'd strongly suspect this report is a plant by DIC to get Hicks to stop ****ing about and that they can go elsewhere if the deal isnt done soon.
I dont believe for one second they would be interested in Newcastle after the lengths theyve allegedly gone to to buy us.
