I'm only just in from a rotten day, and I'm knackered. So I haven't read the thread.

A few points I'd like to make.

1. I posted this last night, euphoric, after a few beers, our best game in ages, and a phone call from someone at the match who is involved in the goings on. So I apologise if cats were thrown in the pigeons.

2. What I was told was that discussions, which in recent weeks have been positive, took a forward step yesterday. Some obstacles were overcome, making.. in his words, ''a deal imminent, not just a possibility. I'm off to celebrate''. So I take that to be good.

3. I have a source who I met in the line of work, fortuitously, who is NOT in the Club, but is currently involved in these talks between DIC and H/G. I have NO inside the Club contacts.

4. I respect what Shankslegend says on matters where info is within the Club. That is not me. On matters outside the current meetings, I know bog all.

5. Therefore, the DIC getting close to a deal bit, this is fact relayed to me by someone who is actually involved.

6. The turbulence to come is my OPINION only, but since relationships at, and between, ALL levels in the Club are at best, fractious, and at worst, broken, then it is not too far-fetched to think that some individuals will have to eat humble pie, or leave.

So I hope that makes it clearer.

The only new info I have is that a deal is closer than it was.

Everyone really needs to relax on this forum, i have to say am not happy with CTR and what he has posted as i believe he is anticipating stuff and putting 2 and 2 together from whats reported in the press and its put people into a situation of immediate hope.

However if am proved wrong well on you lad, but i have to say I can assure you now that if something does happen i will find out about it rather quickly and as soon as i do it will be put on this forum, and i mean that as i know how bad this situation is and i don't want to put people into a situation in which they expect something will happen.

So keep your heads up everyone, the only thing i can say having spoke to my little birdy this morning is that he is not aware of anything that is happening, but he did say that alot of financial information is being electronically mailed across the atlantic but that could mean anything.

Oh and i got that reg of Gillets plane as previously posted n25gg

:whatever: Look who's playing Mr Big Bollocks. He has said his source is inside the club, CTR has said his source is outside the club but someone involved in the negotiations. I'm willing to bet CTR has the better informed source here, if they are both genuine. But to be honest, I question Shankslegend's integrity, while CTR has acted like a bit of a muppet by jumping the gun with his post last night.

Agree completely with that, both trustworthy but the fact CTRs source is dealing with DIC/GH says alot.

It was actually Redscouser flying in to the game. He won the 'Canadian Idol' contest with a wicked version of 'The Cures - Friday I'm in Love' so he is minted now.

My gut feeling is that this is bull****! It just reads as bull****. The various sites seem to be awash with this kind of crap. It is generally accepted that the DIC deal is no longer a rumour and is now in the midst of getting sorted (it is isn't it?) . Therefore if people post saying **** like "any day now" or "middle of next week" etc the law of averages dictates that, when the buy-out actually happens, someone's gonna look like they had insider info.
I mean remember that daft cow the other week on RAWK (I think) saying she "worked at Melwood". Pathetic.
