I think people are going to have to chill out about Hicks a bit tbh. Yes, he ****ed up, but we could well be stuck with him for the long haul and constant hatred against him is probably going to be more damaging in the long run. If we come out of this latest stuff with Hicks, healthier finances and a new stadium, and Rafa still in charge (all of which is possible) then the rug will be pulled from a lot of people. Open civil war is the worst of all possibilities imo.

prof tom cannon - who i seem to recall people calling a bluenose cunt last time we had these fun and games - was on irish radio this morning and said much the same as AF2
- gillett was the man DIC would buy out and this would make hicks' position difficult. but the money being talked about now is more than twice what DIC walked away from paying before so nothing is set in stone.

I've gone past the point of reasoning. I just hate him now.Originally posted by Operation View PostI think people are going to have to chill out about Hicks a bit tbh. Actually that's a lie. The problem I have is with two owners on 50% each. It just doesn't work. Not unless both are of the same wealth and both have the same ambition.
Hicks was more wealthy than Gillet, DIC are more wealthy than Hicks, so no one will ever be happy. At least if Hicks bought Gillets shares we'd only have one owner, but Hicks can't afford to go alone.
Hence the reason I want one owner, and as DIC are the only apparent interested party with the cash to take full charge, they are the ones I want to win through.
I just don't see how 50-50 can work, unless it was agreed from the start how much money would be spent each year, and it was agreed by both to finance the stadium. At present it's bad enough running the club from the Us and the Uk, never mind Dubai, the UK and the US!
I could go on about lies by the Yanks also, but that's neither here or there, what's done is done. The key element in all this is a future of sound, stable ownership with zero grey areas. With one owner Rafa or whoever will know exactly where they stand.Forwards.......

DIC could veto the loan in 16 months time after they bought out Gillett when the loan runs out. That would mean that Hicks would have to put his own money as security.
Not a chance that he will do that.
He is fighting a battle he can't win.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

steve morgan cannot have any involvment in liverpool because he owns wolves.and i doubt dalglish has the know how to be a ceo at a multi million pound company.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostI heard that Kraft is going to buy 35% of Hicks's shares by noon a week on thursday, and that Steve Morgan is also involved in a minor role with Kenny Dalglish taking over as CEO, and Mourinho being lined up as manager as of this summer. The only stumbling block is that Mike Jeffries of L4 doesn't want to give up his shareholder rights by jumping in bed with Steve Morgan. That's why DIC are struggling in their negotiations with Gillett, and why David Dein isn't happy with the situation having been keen on the CEO job himself.
Or something like that.
Either way Parry is ****ed.
who's arsed?

From some fella on RAWK. Confirmation of sorts...Originally posted by Lecter View PostI wonder why Melia has done that article
Free flight from Texas to Liverpool, a little interview and some nice words about the Hicks family
Thanks very much Jimmy we know which side you have chosen
"Jimmy Melia's family still live, just off Scottie(St Anthony's Parish) and i know for a million % certainty that Melia was approached by Hicks/His Family to be flown over here on a Private Jet, to go on a "Charm Offensive" to promote Hicks in a better light,Melia was concerned that he would have little effect/impact on the younger Generations of Liverpool fans."
