Like I said sometime ago - Gillett has given his word to Dubai International Capital, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is now personally involved with negotiations, they can buy his shares & everything is in place.

Gillett will not sell his half to Hicks.

Gillett is said to be furious that Hicks has ruined his what seems like a genuine wish to do good things at Liverpool.
If this is true and Gillette sticks to his word, then one of the yanks could still be the saviour after all.
Just hope Gillettes word is not the kind of word Moores gave to DIC last year.

I don't think Rafa has said he hasn't spoken to Gillett. Although that post anyone could have come up with. What's clear is that Hicks is on a dirty tricks campaign against Gillett and making himself out to be the good guy. Hicks isn't the good guy at all. He wanted to put all debt against the club and it's a nightmare scenario if he becomes 100% owner

Some press are saying that Dubai International Capital are ready to bid for Gillett's shares, but my understanding is, talks have been ongoing for months & the OFFER WAS MADE weeks ago.

I also understand that Gillett has agreed to sell his shares to DIC, which in turn prompted this response from Hicks.
Fits in with what I have heard.

Hicks latest charm offensive and so on is a last cry for help.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Should we read anything into the fact that, after Hick's made his statement about not selling the other day, can't remember which statement exactly, but the day after the BBC were briefed (we believe) by an interested party to say that negotiations WERE IN FACT on going.

After Hick's latest THREAT, of 'fixing it', or Vetoing a sale of his 'Partner's' half of LFC, obviously to DIC, should we now expect the Beeb to be briefed on whether this is in fact the case, & that Hick's does or does not have that power, & as we thought it is only the 1st refusal option he retains.

Would be great to hear FOR SURE that the **** does'nt possess 'power of veto'.

if true. why is rafa being so nice? is it to show the prospective new owners that he's not a trouble maker?

I am sick of this ****, lets just ****ing get a bit of the money pledged to the share Liverpool scheme, 4-5k of us on a plane or 2 to texas, and have our selves a good old fashioned lynching. Sell the ****ing club or we’ll have BBQ Hicks wings.

its been dragging on far too long now to the point of getting ****ing boring. It dragged on for two months last year and its been like this since august 07. We're now nearly in march 08.

its like a never-ending bad dream.

It could be like Dallas - Rick Parry wakes up and sees David Moores getting out of teh shower rather than Hicks...

I am just praying it is finished by the next realease of FM!! Then hopefully I can play the game with a transfer kitty that can compete, and sign all the players that are interested! Why won't G+H and DIC take that into consideration??!!? I was hoping it came through before the latest patch, but noooo had to drag it out!

FFS ! - you have some imagination.

I'd rather wake up and see cheryl tweedy coming out of the shower but each to his own .

come on loop - some of us arent that young.

eighties - big hair, bigger shoulder pads, brick mobile phones, tassled shoes and no sky. Sue Ellen's constant drinking, JR (the dellboy of dallas), Bobby Ewing (the Rodney of er..... maybe not) and victoria principle (the equivalent of today's keeley).

The eighties were great because we had the best team in that decade.
