Oh **** - just listening to The Game (the times) podcast, and balague is over in dubai at the moment meeting "with the people who want to buy Liverpool to find out what's going on"

The latest information coming to Marcotti was that DIC have made a final take it or leave it offer and given him till the end of the week (didn't say which day that is classed as) to accept it, and in their words "he'd better accept it this time or we're off for good"

they then speculated (as they have no one meeting anyone in the Hicks camp) that Hicks would probably just laugh at them as they said that last time so won't take them seriously.

Seems like this could be a pivotal week.

Anyone got any sources to comment on this?

Seems very genuine information from the parties involved. Alison Rudd is on there too, and she's a red.

But I think they thought G&H (Well G anyway) were suitable..... Wrong I grant you but then we have the benefit of hindsight......

And at the expense of getting a lot of flak, I am not yet convinced that GG is not trying to do the right thing in trying to sell out to DIC! Sooner or later we should know the answer to that! If he sells to Hicks, then I will have my answer but let's wait and see.......

They didn't say - but my guess would be the fact it rests on Hicks's ability to match the offer DIC make. If he can raise the cash - we're as good as his. Cunt sports franchise to be run on minimal costs for maximum profit

It's all getting very depressing now isn't it? Up one day and down the next. I think the reality is that most people in the media really don't have a clue what's going on. Most of what we've read in recent weeks is just old info being re-hashed.
DIC are still obviously keen and I still believe that their silence speaks volumes IMHO. All the reports lately have suggested "the middle of March" as a key time, haven't they. Hicks just doesn't seem to have the cash or backers to go it alone thank ****. Rafa seems pleased as ****in' Punch lately for some reason. Even the Echo's gone quiet. If there was anything to know I thinkthey would. Why was TH in Dubai a week or so ago? That was fact apparently. That was a long way to go to tell someone to **** off. I'm totally confused

The problem for Hicks is that he can't afford to gamble on if we qualify for the CL or not.

If he don't sell up and we miss out on the CL, then his other clubs, Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers would also be at risk.

He would need to sell one of them to survive and both of them have huge debts.
