I'm no accountant so can someona clarify, to table an offer will DIC have already had access to the books? if this is the case then Hicks stance that he's not willing to sell must be nonsense
I think DD would normally happen after an agreement has been reached in principle. Any offer would be subject to the satisfactory completion of due diligence. Bit like buying a house and doing a survey before you spunk the cash

I think dd or exclusive dd begins once an acceptance is made. its doubtful these guys would have let DIC near the books just yet

true i suppose - im just looking for anything at this stage to be honest, going over to the game tomorrow and it will be some ****in party in liverpool if DIC buy us today.
wasnt claiming inside info myself or anything.
It is widely believed that the poster you mentioned is Dunk.
There's been a couple of entries on the blog about it.
Hicks' behaviour over the past few months leads me to think he's not a man that really gives a **** about saving face.
Fans of his teams in Amercia hate him too - he couldnt care less.
He certainly doesn't seem to.
All he cares about is the benjamins and he doesn't care about who or what gets trampled underfoot as long as his rampant desire for filthy lucre is satisfied.
I think that much has been obvious for a good while now.

had they gone through due diligence last year????
if so not much can have changed really
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
so they reported valuation of £400M must be a reasonable bid?
I know the papers etc are saying 400M but that hasnt actually been confirmed by DIC. I guess most are assumming its made up of the 350M refinance plus a profit of 50M. Very reasonable given they havent used a penny of their own money.

it would have though. New commercial contracts, new player contracts, and obviously this loan agreement. They would have to go through it again, it would be commercial madness if they did not.

I can’t think they would have a lot of DD to do to be honest. They must have satisfied themselves on the numbers first time they looked. Sure enough there have been some player movement, longer/increased term contracts for some players and some money spent on Stadium design etc but the main headline figures that count, future revenue etc, will already be fully understood by DIC.
Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but does not actually get you anywhere.
