DIC latest - the largely wild speculation thread

I haven't commented hardly anything on the takeover subject in this mammoth thread but my view is that Hicks simply won't sell to DIC unless they offer a very lucrative deal to him.
My guess is that Hicks will try to hold onto the club for as long as possible as he knows that he'll get a lot more profit if/when the new stadium is up and running. The financial side of things will be a worry until then if that's the case though. I just can't see DIC getting full ownership of LFC anytime in the near future.
However, I do see them getting their hands on Gillett's half though, provided that they will be interested in just that, for now - but I do fear that they are after the whole lot or nothing (hope I'm wrong here), and they just won't be happy with having to settle with half now in the hope of getting Hicks' half in the future.
I've a feeling we'll have to put up with Hicks' for a good few years yet!

Been out since this story broke this morning, I'm GUTTED to see the Hick has already knocked the offer back, the PRICK. Seems to me he doesn't care whether Dic end their interest.Originally posted by MattB View PostThis whole thing reminds me more and more of a good cop, bad cop routine. I wonder if that's a deliberate tactic from G&H...
That would give him plenty of time to buy out Gillette, On HIS terms.
What an utter **** Moores & his useless sidekick have saddled us with.

Hard to argue with that, but I would say Stupid is the best word to be used here.Originally posted by Operation View PostMoores: cunt.
Dan Roan on SSN said that DIC had privately told him it was a take it or leave it offer and that the Yanks had until morning.
Roan said it appears that all parties are now deadlocked, no acceptance of the bid, but not refused out of hand just yet.
Now down to if one of the parties will back down, ie DIC up their bid, or Hicks accepts the offer.

Going on this I would say we have until tomorrow morning. Wait and see on the Official front. I would expect a reaction to these talks from Hicks.Forwards.......

I looks like they haven't even made a direct offer to Hicks. They seem to have made the offer to Gillett for his 50% (he hasn't rurned it down and discussions are likely to go on into the night according to some accounts), and merely made it clear that the same offer is available to Hicks should he be interestedOriginally posted by REDrascal View PostBeen out since this story broke this morning, I'm GUTTED to see the Hick has already knocked the offer back, the PRICK. Hicks knows that he would be voted down on everything if DIC buy Gillett's 50%.
Moores and Parry would then have the deciding vote and they wouldn't vote against DIC.
So, in the short term, Moores and Parry would probably stay even that both Hicks and DIC want them out.
That means that the battle is over for Hicks as soon as DIC buy Gillett's 50%.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
