Talks still going on this morning in London. DIC are very close to buying out G's 50% - G's asking for a bit more money now but has made it very clear he wants to sell.

Hicks wants him to sell 49% to DIC and 1% to him as reported yesterday but the interesting thing is there's nothing in the clause agreed between them two that says G has to sell to H - unless H's buying the full 50%. As I was told earlier the 'veto' powers that Hicks was being reported to have (which the media was going on about yesterday) is bollocks - He cannot dictate who G sells to, and unless he can match the other party's offer there's nothing he can do to stop DIC buying the 50% now and then forcing him out. If that happens, he knows he will not be in a bargaining position and due to the current financial climate in the US, he will have to sell. DIC can play the waiting game but they know Hicks cannot - he's already losing money in the US.

What may happen is that Hicks might see some sense and at the last minute (before G signs the dotted line) sell his 50% to the DIC while he still can get some decent profit out of this. If he doesn't, Gillett will sign anyway and DIC will wait hicks out.

One last thing - DIC are running out of patience fast.

Lets hope we have something to cheer about today rather than the planned mass protest after the game / during halftime.

Just recieved a text update about 15 mins ago saying that lawyers from Gillett and DIC's side are trying to work a way around Hicks as DIC want this wrapped up by tomorrow - likely to go on until monday however.

I have no idea what 'working a way arond hicks' means to be honest. Probably to do with whatever agreements G & H had between themselves.

I can't say much - but somehow I've ended up with two more sources (top journalists) who've contacted me and confirmed that me source is spot on Surprised

The 2 journo's I mentioned earlier in the thread (who shall remain unnamed for now) - one of them got a call at 3am from DIC just to tell him that they're confident it'll all be wrapped up very soon.
