Shaggy, It's a mental decision if its true. They will be effectively be ploughing in there money to a business where they don't have the ultimate ability to make the final decision on the key matters. I can't see massive investment in the team from them on those terms unless Hicks equals the investment that they are making. Wont this also mean that the split dividend won't meet our interest payment?

I appreciate that this is a rather uneducated, simplified way of looking at this, but the only way that I can see it working is if our existing debt remains and thew club contiues to serve it. Can someone help me out here?

They won't take 49%. If they do it's with the knowledge they get a full takeover soon. Otherwise it's a waste of money for them and they're not going to do that

Apparently DIC have found a loophole that allows them to get Gillett's share. So why would they take 49%? I believe the DIC quotes. That AP **** is American I'm sure. They'll take at least 50% if they buy, not 49%

Yes I think so. I think it's something leaked in America. Totally at odds with what a DIC source said

I agree, unless they have come to the conclusion that they can't control the club and would there like to simply be a large shareholder in a potentially incredibly profitable 'franchise'.

I think I will revert back to my previously held stance, that being that no one (insiders and all) knows anything concrete and this is another round of best guessing by the press. Until something is announced I remain unconvinced on every factor of this horribly protracted affair, with exception of the fact that DIC are in fact interested. Hello blissful ignorance!
