I dont believe DIC have started due dilligenceOriginally posted by AFII View PostWell, if you are doing DD then you are not allowed to talk about the deal until the DD is done.
DIC are probably doing their DD right now because of the agreed deal with Gillett that Hicks used his veto to turn down. Nothing can really stop them doing DD during the 90 day deadline.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Well, it's a strange timing for a more or less total media blackout, straight after the veto from Hicks.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI dont believe DIC have started due dilligence
The time for DIC to start the DD would be when Gillett or Hicks accepted a bid for their 50% of the club and that is what happened last week, Gillett accepted the DIC bid but Hicks used his veto.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That was George Soros but it wasn't because the chancellor was pissing him off, it was because Moron Lamont at the time created a scenario where somebody with enough US dollars in their bank could devalue the poundOriginally posted by rage View Postnow that would be cool. i remember in the early 90s the chancellor pissing off some european business man who then ****ed up our currency resulting in us having to withdraw from the European monetary union. In hindsight probably a blessing in disguise but boy did i laugh at the tory prick

Or because off the back of the Lawson boom, the UK entered the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) at an exchange rate that was above our long-term rate, and which was never likely to be sustainable in the long term. When the inevitable pressure on sterling came, the tory government was so desperate to avoid devaluing the pound that they increased the interest rate again and again to try and bolster the exchange rate. Canny investors such as Soros realised that even this wouldn't be enough and sold sterling short, making a killing when the inevitable withdrawal and devaluation occurred. Speculators made a killing, while the UK entered our last severe recession.Originally posted by dawmdt View PostThat was George Soros but it wasn't because the chancellor was pissing him off, it was because Moron Lamont at the time created a scenario where somebody with enough US dollars in their bank could devalue the pound
Anyway, are DIC buying us or what? Or is it Kraft? Or Hicks? Or even Ross Perot Jnr (now there's a new name!)?

DIC would have made a public announcement if they have fuc*ed off. Given a key part of their strategy was/is to get fans on side it doesnt make sense to walk away without saying anything.
I like the blanket media ban theory or the theory that DIC are sitting back and watching the financial meltdown in the debt/equity markets fu*k up 'Mr.Leveraged buy-out King' Hicks. Hicks has to be doing it hard given his business model is based on debt."I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

FWIW i think the deal is done, with g and h selling lock/stock and barrel.
the media blackout is giving thicks enough time to put his other affairs in order imo
and yes, the ansari's would of told us if they were walking away (like last time) but they aint
hicks would be shouting from the rooftops if this was the case and he aint.ps3 fanclub member#1

Wouldn't that be great if it was done? I think it still on with Hicks spitting the dummy over the media war and his email being leaked and more or less demanding a media blackout.Originally posted by pezzzer View Post

Which might well explain the fact that a senior DIC exec was shown the door soon afterwardsOriginally posted by carlton View PostWouldn't that be great if it was done? SSN today were running a story on Derby County's new American owners and they were talking about Liverpools ownership situation.
The Derby owner said that Liverpool FC has provided the Americans a big profit on a short term investment, or words to that effect. Does he know something we don't? Could it be a done deal already?? Please, please let it happen..."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Given the valuations being thrown about, that is true whether they sell or not. I hope he does know something, but it's more likely he is just talking about the value of the asset, rather than any actual sale profit.Originally posted by looprevil View PostSSN today were running a story on Derby County's new American owners and they were talking about Liverpools ownership situation.
