He had that before DJS was banned I do believe.

I thought he was ok actually, enjoyed the arguments. To much of a realist for me at times though

Also a quick note about the non Hicks denial so far....

Normally when he doesn't deny anything in the media, there are always quotes from sources close to Hicks saying how he isn't selling and intends to be there for a long time etc. And normally articles would say despite this DIC remain confident of buying out Hicks in the long term etc.

None of this has happened this time?! Maybe just maybe we could be at the end...

Longer this silence goes on the better it is imo.

To be honest I dont care whether he responds or not

I dont believe him when he does respond anyway so its probably better hearing nothing

The fact of the matter is that leveraged buy-out specialists are going to struggle in the current climate in the USA

The value of his assetts is falling (in general), his banks are asking for increased securities on future loans / renewals

He needs liquidity to survive and the only assett that he has that has generated any investment / buying interest is LFC

It's probably the only asset he has that has risen rather than fallen in value in recent months as well.

Its a really difficult decision for Hicks imo

LFC is his jewel in his crown its his cash cow but I think he needs to sell it to stay afloat

Its not as if he can sell off his other businesses to stay afloat because hes tried that and failed

                Yes, agree

On the one hand, LFC is his only stable asset. On the other, if he needs to raise capital, it is the only one he can realistically get a decent price for (or even a buyer).

Rock - hard place. No wonder he's trying to buy time at every turn

I personally think the situation in the US is going to take a long long time to turn around and in all likelihood is going to get far worse before it gets better

With all the above going on in the background, or foreground for Thicks, Having along with GG gone through Bankruptcy in their past business lives, Thicks must be all too aware how quickly a man can go from living the Billionaire Lifestyle, to just sort of getting by, not exactly broke, but a far cry from where he presently stands in financial terms.

Hopefully he will have a deep rooted fear of repeating such mistakes, Oh he knows how quickly $$$$ can be made using his modus operandi, but they can be lost all to quickly through no fault of your own aswell, especially in the circles he moves in.

I can't understand some of these businessmen, if I could liquidate asses and find myself a hundred million or do up, I'd bloody well do it, kick back and have a ****ing good time rather than stress out about all this business ****e.

I've moved the stuff about the Gillet interview into it's own thread.
