Wrong. Not sure why you've come to that conclusion. I doubt a collapse on a building who's architects are involved will stop them being in charge of another around the world. If a Wimpey home fell over whilst being built, would all Wimpey housing projects stop for an investigation, of course not. The architects won't be at fault either, it's far more likely a structural collapse will be due to the structural engineer (who's design it will be) or the contractor (who will be building the design and have further responsibilty to make sure it doesn't fall down).Originally posted by AFII View PostWe don't have the go ahead from the City to build it yet, so that is not speculation.
I doubt very much that the City will allow us to build it until they know what caused the collapse. That part is speculation.

Unless the collapsed building has substantially similar design elements to New Anfield, I don't think it's going to hold up our project. HKS are/have been architects of thousands of buildings all over the world for many, many years. I don't think this one will impact our project.
Furthermore, it may have nothing to do with the architects. Remember about a decade or so ago, a mezzanine floor collapsed in a shopping mall in the States at peak shopping hours. When they investigated they discovered that the failing element was a support that was supposed to run floor to ceiling supporting the mezzanine half way up. During construction, one of the on-site engineers had replaced that single piece support with a two piece support, one piece running from floor to the mezzanine and the second from the mezzanzine to the ceiling. He did it because he was having difficulty getting the single long piece. The joint wasn't strong enough to take the stress and eventually failed. Not the architects' fault; they'd designed it correctly.
We're being that slow sorting the permissions for the new stadium that I suspect the investigation into HKS's other building will be long over by the time we start to throw up anything structural.
All these headlines saying our stadium is in jeopardy are just complete sensationalist bollocks. No! I am NOT in denial!

The point is that the investigation(s) that they will do must show that it had nothing to do with HKS. We don't know that yet and I doubt very much that the City will give the go ahead until all the safety issues are done and dusted.
Safety is priority number one by a mile.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
