    6 days to go...

... and to be honest I dont really know a whole lot about Inter Milan except for the fact that they are probably the highest rated team in Italy at the moment. Which means we have a real tactical battle on our hands. They obviously have some massive stars in their team a la viera, crespo, zlatan etc but i dont really have a clue how they set up or play. Can anyone fill me in on their strengths and weaknesses? Do they have any injury problems at the moment?
    Fernando Torres

Urgh I was expecting to see that the club would be sold to D.I.C
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Bill Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: "Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!"

They are untouchable on Pro Evo 2008...

Zanetti, Stankovic, Crespo, Zlatan... This will be the toughest game yet for Rafa.

I would say that they have a lot of depth in their squad. They are the best in Italy by a long way at the moment because of the quality of their squad. They have top quality internationals in every position. I wouldnt say they have any obvious weakness.

We will match them though, it will be a tight game. I dont think there will be a great deal of difference between the sides. When Liverpool play big teams at home, we rise to the occasion. This is a big game and i expect it will be a good battle

IMO the winner of the CL will be from this game. Inter is a massive hurdle to climb - the hardest draw we could have had, so if we beat them we can beat anyone.

Indeed. I checked their last two games and crespo has been an unused sub in both, which means their other strikers have real quality.

Inter are a phenomenal team, far better than Barca when we faced them at this stage last season.

I personally think he's over rated.

Me too, but he is in top form. Or was anyhow.

I've said previous that Inter are not all there cracked up to be. And with us seemingly on the way back I think we've timed it just right.

However, there are no easy games in Europe and we will have to be at the top of our game to beat them. Same goes for them though.

Don't forget we are the toughest draw they could have got also.

They will probably be without Stankovic, their midfield playmaker and that is a huge loss for them.

They normally play a very aggressive style of football, or brittish style to explain it better.

Zanetti is excellent coming up from his left fullback position and help out in attack, probably the best fullback the last 15 years or so.

Maicon is also excellent so both wings will be the problem for us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I actually used to be a fan of Inter, but don't bother watching Seria A now, but he was my fave player and always played RB. Who plays on the right for them now?

Edit: from wiki: Since the arrival of Maicon, Zanetti has moved from his right back position and now plays in midfield

Maicon. He is the right fullback who keeps Alves out of the starting XI for the national team.
