    Gonzalez

    What's going on?

I've read one or two posters on the net suggesting he's been going out on the lash rather a lot. Where's that come from? Any truth?

Rafa & Parry kicked up such a fuss when he didn't get his work permit that it was safe to assume they were desperate to bring the player to the club. After watching him on numerous occasions in La Liga last season, I could really see why.

Kewell has been injured all season, and yet we've barely seen Gonzalez. WHY?

I think this is similar to the Bellamy story last week. He's a young lad and clearly taking a little bit of time to settle in. To play him today or the derby would've been throwing him in at the deep end.

He did come on as a sub in mid-week.

I'm a bit confused as to why he's only made the bench a few times, but it's a new league in a new country so you can see why Rafa might want to be careful with him.

EDIT: Plus as Kurtangle says, would have been some big games to start him.

Will be interesting to see the XI against Newcastle.

I would've thought that he would make the 16 on Wednesday.

The more attacking options the better because we have to run the barcodes ragged this week.

I know he's been pretty disappointing in the fleeting appearances we've seen from him, but wouldn't he have been a ****ing good option from the bench today? Instead we get that useless Dutchman with the fat arse coming on instead.

He definitely needs time to adapt based on the evidence presented so far, but he's not gonna get that by watching the games on fookin' telly.

At his best last season he seemed to have everything we so badly need - pace, direct running with the ball kept at close control, good delivery, great direct free kick taker, goals and assists. Jesus, he even appeared to be ****ing brilliant in the air...arriving at the far post to score a few headers. We could do with all of that right now and I just wish Rafa would at least give him a chance.

the problem was everyone has built him up as a world class winger he has joined a huge club in a different country these things need time its unfortunate we have had so many new players this summer all needing time to gel and settle in
