Agger has been excellent but that doesn't make Sami any less of a player. Sami has been the best LFC buy in the last 10 years. You can count his bad games on 1 hand. Sure he lacks pace, always has done but you don't need blistering pace to be a top class defender and Sami is top class. Both agger & Sami will have a massive part to play this season.

Just what I was going to say!

I think we all know Benitez will keep changing the team (90 times on the spin) so expect Both Sami and Agger to get their fair share of games. I for one though would like to see a settled back four, with Agger and Carra in the middle, building an understanding together.

Agger looks the business, uses the ball better and Sami can't go on forever. He's been an amazing player for us, and will continue to be so when required. He deserves to be be classed as one of our best defenders of all time.

Thanks Sami, you've been great but things move on and IMO it's time to give Agger an extended run in the team.
