I played under one guy who we used to call fergie. His pre-match teamtalk was non-existant and his during match tactics were 'break their effin legs'.

But i've played in scottish university football, french amateur leagues, spanish amateur leagues, and then the english sunday leagues. No offence to the scottish lads but their standard of football is absolutely terrible.

I've not played for anyone famous but have played against a few players who we know.

I dont know what to say to be honest ...watched the game on the telly , and here are a few thoughts.

At times, we looked like Wimbledon in red, I counted 30 "hoof it up the field " kicks before I got bored with counting.

Crouch, has to be sold, just not good enough for top flight .

Hypia, past his best now .

Carragher, didnt realize he was even on the pitch until the second half.

Riise, pretty unimpressive all round.

Our back 4 have to take most of the blame for today, no way should Barnsley have been giving our back 4 problems.

Give Rafa a break on this one, any 11 players in the LFC squad should have run out easy winners against Barnsley. I do question the Babel subbing, but we dont know if he signaled he was getting tired or something else.

Celebrating my 38th year as a Liverpool fan , and the players today delivered the most awful, uninspired, gutless , spineless performance I have ever had the misfortune to endure, and I was there the last time we lost to Barnsley at Anfield.

Far as I am concerned, Carra, Hypia, Crouch, Kewell all need to be sent packing at the end of the season.

Could not agree more with you he has been dog **** this year and has lost some pace. When ever a player goes past him now he fouls them. He is giving alot of pens away this year and we need some pace at the back. Maybe Skrtel is his replacment and will start to partner Agger alot more when he is back.

I think most people are beginning to realize that Carra has been degenerating at about the same rate as Kuyt.

Babel sub was ok for me, he thought he'd have a little gamble on a fitter player with a little something different to his game. It worked OK kewell got off a fair few shots and hit the bar.

Three players around that Howard lad, not one of them went all out to close down the shot, throw there body at the ball etc, first Alonso made a lame attempt at winning the ball, then Hyypia tried to get over but couldn't, then finally Carragher who just did some stupid twist thing to make it look like he was trying, i blame Carra most tbh, he was only a couple of yards from Howard but didn't do **** all to prevent the shot.
Nor havin that!!!!
