Didn't Bascombe say the same thing last week?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Its an easy thing to speculate on though isnt it? Any idiot could come out with that statement. Wow we have a few spanish players and a few English. Lets make out they have fallen out.

        Crouch & Kuyt!

32 goal attempts against a Championship team and they only managed 1 goal - do u belive me now that Crouch & Kuyt are probably 2 of the most USELESS strikers in the world, I don't think even Havant & Waterlooville would take them at this rate!
Barnsley had 2 real chances (the 2nd was a half chance really which the keeper should have saved) & they put them both away. A lesson to the multi-millionaire strikers who play for Liverpool!!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

The only thing I want out of this season is for the yank cunt****ers to be gone. If that happens then in my eyes this season will have been a huge, resounding success.

Then give Mr Benitez 1 last season, no excuses, **** or bust.

If the Yanks(Or DIC) back him the way the Glazers back Fergie then Rafa will stand a chance of competing against Manure. The playing field hasn`t been level for yrs.We pay 6mil for players when Fergie pays 18 mil.Utd have lost all 6 games Rooney has missed and would be lower in the league without Ronaldo carrying them. Most of Chelseas players cost 15mil plus.Wenger has had 10 yrs to develope his youth team and has had bad seasons aswell.
Liverpool fans demand a Top 4 finish and a trophy every year. That`s just not realistic with our budget.
Agreed. In fact Rafa said as much earlier this year and correctly predicted that if he cant get his first choices we would be fighting it out for 4th spot. I hope he stays and boots out out some of the wasters.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

If Rafa's admitted outright that the best he can do with the current squad is a struggle for 4th place, then that's a disgrace.

didn't he say that after Athens BEFORE he bought Torres, Babel etc though?

                      Who is to blame?

Rafa. BUT! not because of his tactics or team selection. Because of the training.
I am pretty sure most of our bad performances are down to one thing. Bad training.
When Pako left it all got worse. We are not the strong team we used to be in terms of actual strength. Gerrards runs through the middle still happen now and then but that's about it.

Last year (last season) our home games were mostly played one way only. Opposing teams didn't even try to play in our own half when we had the ball, now we can't even create an attack. When opposition crowd our box it's always dangerous, the only time we get in their box is when we have a corner (and you all know how our corners look like). Our set pieces have been poor all season and so was our sp defence.

We defenitely have quality but that's not enough. We need every player (not just Kuyt and Mascher) to work as hard as possible, to help other players, to run more, ... For that you must be in your best shape and our players clearly are not!

Try playing football after a rough night, still a bit dizzy from all the alcohol and only 3 hours of sleep, with sun in your eyes, sweating like an elephant on 30°C (dunno how much that is in your degrees but it's pretty unpleasant for footy). Our players look pretty much like that (not literally but you should get the point).

You can take all the best players in the world and make them train wrong or bad. At first they will beat Sunderland but at the end of the season it could be quite complicated to do it again.

the difference between us and the other top 4 clubs is that fergie/maureen/grant/wenger all get the full backing of there boards.

they get there first choice players,no question.
other than nino and maybe alonso rafa has to siv through the unwanted/troublemaker bins

                            This same boring old argument...

Even without his 'first choice players', rafa should still have us comfortably 4th...

Are you telling me he hasnt been backed enough to beat barnsley?

                            Give over.

Agreed. I have serious question marks over rafa but im prepared to give him time. We haven't had enough backing to challenge for the title but there is no way in hell we should be scrapping it out for 4th.

Again Syd, what about the players? You are blaming yesterday on Rafa yet you are saying that even without the likes of Torres/Gerrard we should still be in 4th? Totally contradicting yourself. If we are good enough with Torres etc to get 4th then we should have been good enough to beat Barnsley yesterday but we werent were we? Why? Cos the majority of the players look like they can't be arsed thats why!
