A couple of thoughts

The start of the season hasn`t been great, and there are a few things that strikes me:
-The new players takes longer the gel with the team than many thought. Gonzo, Aurelio and Kuyt comes from other leagues and need time to adjust. Kuyt is the one that has done it best so far, but he`s a typical Pl player.

-We don`t score goals. three games in a row without scoring. What is it new strikers and LFC? Nobody can say Bellamy and Kuyt has played badly, but they can`t find the net right now. Could be that LFc doesn`t have a set way to play in attack? This gives us more "possibilities" but it could also mean that it takes longer for new players to settle to our way of playing. Rafa rotation will also add to the time it takes to learn. I`m confident the goals will come, but it should happend sooner rather than later.

-One the positive side, we`re done with two of the hardest away games this season.

The Scum had a very good start this season, but once they`ve met quality opposition they have struggled, so it`s not all lost yet.

I agree to an extent.

We're not playing well at all, and the new guys haven't settled yet (Kuyt excepted). Alonso is starting to find some form at last, but he hasn't been great yet either.

The positives for me though are that we have been quite unlucky not to get better results. In the past 3 games, we've hit the post or bar 4 times, plus we've had a couple of good penalty shouts turned down too.

It's not great at the moment - because results count, but it's not all bad either.

I think a telling sign to our season so far is that Sissoko has been head and shoulders above any of our Midfielders, and since his job is primarily a destructive one, it goes to show that I don't believe we have the creativity problem addressed just yet.

Gonzalez needs time to adapt
Alonso has been struggling with form
Gerrard is trying too hard at the moment, resulting in some poor decision making.
Pennant yet to find top form (unless this is all we are going to get from him, and if so I'll be very disappointed!)
Zenden, doesn't have the quality to play in key games.
