The players that would hurt us would be Reina, Masch and Torres.

I think we're quick to overestimate the scale of the exodus should Rafa leave. I think the majority will stay and those that leave wil probably not be in the plans of the new manager. We may be a ****ehouse at the moment but we're still Liverpool FC.

Reina would be the biggest worry.

Some managers have their trusty lieutenants and take players with them wherever they go, and for my money Reina is one of Rafa's. Wherever Benitez may go next, he will look to bring in Reina almost unquestionably. And Pepe may well want to follow him.

Its always easy to think that when a manager leaves, players close to him will follow to his new club. But it seldom works out that way.

For a start, players will be on long lucrative contracts at LFC which few clubs can/will match. also Rafa's new club may not need a new goalie for example or have the funds to plunder LFC.

When Rafa joined ud, we all made our lists of Valencia players he would sign and who came, Momo and that was about it.

Torres= Six year contract = HUGE fee
Reina = Very pro-Liverpool as a city and has shown no sign of wanting to leave as far as I can see.
Arbeloa= Will stay if he is wanted as he never quoted Rafa as a reason for coming in the first place and tends to appreciate the Being Wanted. Stated recently he would stay eight years at the club, not with the manager
Alonso= No great loss, the way he has been playing

nothing to get worried about becuase the players are contracted to Liverpool FC not RAFA UNITED.

Torres: Loves the club and the city, Plus not so long ago said he would stay whatever happened to Rafa

Plus if we get a Spanish manager to replace Rafa they might all stay. That manager for me would be Pellegrini, the Villareal manager. He has done astounding things with that club. They play great football and the players play with real freedom. They are 3rd in La Liga. They play football as opposed to the dross we are served up.

To be honest there is no chance of Rafa being sacked until the takeover is complete so we will have to wait to see what the summer brings.

Players are mostly fickle. If a new manager came in, galvanised the side, got them playing better football and, most importantly, winning football then the dissention in the ranks would be minimal.

Xabi and Pepe for me would be the most likely to leave but the former has looked to be edging closer to the exit door with Rafa here, whilst latter would command a huge fee.
