Surely that would raise 40-50 million? Our squad is far too ****ing big, another of rafa's mistakes. He needs to then purchase quality, not quantity. If had spent his budget he has had on quality, we would be in such a better position, the squad is filled with ****. 4 x 10 million + signings and a left back. Two strikers and two wingers. This would then stop him using his crap rotation policies to make sure all the **** players get a game from time to time.

When United rested Giggs, Ronaldo and Tevez yesterday they still had players from that squad that did not weaken their team. With our squad our 'squad' players weaken our side.

People sing Wenger's praises while blasting Rafa but they forget that they finished behind us twice, Wenger has won much less in comparision to Rafa since 2004-05 and Arsenal almost didnt qualify for CL but for Spurs eating dodgy food.

When Wenger 1st came there was no real competition in the league. There was the Mancs and then take your pick out of Newcastle or a fast declining Blackburn.
The league was pretty much between Arsenal or the Mancs and when Wenger did win it the points total wasnt stunning (except for the invincible season). You could win it with high70's low 80's points or come second with low 70's.

Its only since Chelsea showed up that their has been serious competition and i'll think you will find Arsenal have been nowhere since, until this season.

When Wenger gets to 2 champions league finals in 3 seasons he will quite rightly be praised by me.

Should i re-phrase that to a lack of competition? The points totals show that to be the case. Chelsea were winning the league with over 90 points, we came third with 82. Wenger could come second with 73 before Chelsea arrived.

These arent excuses, these are facts.

Agreed, but Rafa needs to realise he has no backup and must play his first 11 where possible.

The point is several of his squad were not match fit and also Wenger has the situation where he can rest players because he's going for the title and they have a better chance of winning the CL than us

I couldn't care less what the media think. As far as I'm concerned Rafa has been on borrowed time since we lost at Reading.

I'm saying he should go because he isnt achieving what i consider to be the bare minimum, with a squad that is easily capable of achieving that.

It's not that we havent won the league, it's the fact that Barnsley have just made us a laughing stock, Havant & Waterlooville competed with us, Luton deserved to beat us and we're making a pig's ear of even finishing 4th.

gonzalez is playing some **** hot football back in spain again with betis. was last week being linked with bayern munich according to some papers (the times??) even scored against madrid. i think rafa just didn't play him regular enough to get the best out of him. before he cam to us everyone was raving about him and now he's left us they are doing it again. give babel a chance next year to play regular football (full 90 mins games) and in his best postion up front and then lests judge him.
