Is that a fact? If so, is it 6 times or 7 times?

    If it's 6, then it's 6 out of 15 (including this season)...

Still not 'more often than not'.

Players today get far too much protection.
My apologies, then Marky. Though it could be said that it is the manager's job to get the players to perform. I just think the whole Gillet and Hicks thing has destroyed us this season, and has halted the team's progression.

Why do you go out of your way to argue with everyone!

All I was saying originally was that 82 points is a challenge.. Dont worry about it bud it's less than trivial.
        Hello mert.

You are wrong. You have not shown just any signs though. You have started many threads and proffered your viewpoint on an incessant basis on the subject. That's your prerogative - I don't really see that as disloyal. I understand there's frustration and I feel a lot of it myself. I think you are venting at the wrong target, though. With Houllier, it was time for him to leave - I would not advocate it, but I would acknowledge it. That time is still a long way away with Rafa. He has created a very promising youth structure and had us looking like title contenders until the Wigan game. I believe he can do it. I also believe he is our best chance.

Well, i dont believe he'll change the fundamental things which are stopping us challenging. And that's why i dont think he'll succeed with us.

But you're naturally entitled to your opinion, so fair enough.

Get a life DJS and try to find you other occupations. You'll see that losing an FA Cup game is no big deal in the end. It's a fookin' game of football.

Now go and support the team for the Inter game, that's what supporters are for. Wait till Rafa completes 5 years in charge before judging him. It's the first disastrous season we've had under him.

              I'm finished with that now.

I will indeed be supporting the team for the inter game, from my seat on the kop...

                You?

You'll be sitting there saying how it's not actually important and it doesnt matter, 'so what' etc etc.

Well, that's a fact DJS. You could cry all day, all night, and nobody won't ever listen to your ranting, not even Rafa.

On the other hand, you'll be getting stressed out, losing your job and flirting with depression arguing over what should and what shouldn't.

I don't think it's now sung in the same way or with the same "tongue in cheek" sentiment that it was in the 60s & 70s.
                      Sorry, just what I think.
What the ****??!!? I started reading this thread and couldn't get beyond this post. Eh, I don't get it? What do you want instead? Something a bit more modern? 2 un****inglimited?

I obviously haven't articulated myself particularly well in my original post. I have sung this at the match since I was a ten year old in the Annie Rd North way back in the late 70s. The song then had an irony and a sponteneity that I feel has been marginalised. We are now expected to perform like ****ing seals at every CL game along with Gerry "I'm a Scouser and my accent gets stronger with every passing year" Marsden. It's now contrived and I can't believe that people don't see it. THE CROWD DOESN'T NEED ANY HELP singing it. That is what I was referrring to. Apologies to all I've offended.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

i know you don't think this, but others do, and i don't get it

in the league we've lost less games than man utd

                          3rd best goal differential

it's our inability to finish teams off that keeps us from challenging for the title

one could theorize that if rafa is given money to go out and buy another class striker and finally land the elusive winger, we could then mount a serious challenge for the title

                            Another piss thread.

Seems like every thread is now a Pro/Anti Rafa thread with DJS in the middle repeating the same old rhetoric.I have an opinion on all things LFC but really couldn`t be bothered arguing with the same poster day in day out.
