          And our team already had players such as Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher etc...

            We'd only been 30 points adrift because the champions that season had run away with it and won it by 11 points (90 point total).

              Football of course hadnt changed much between wengers first season and rafa's first season.

                It's pointless analyzing things how you do.

                Rafa has the credentials to win us the league, with the rotation or without the rotation, with Kuyt or without Kuyt etc ... yawn

                It's not one disastrous season which will hinder his reputation. He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

                We've failed to win the league for 18 years, and we've had our fair share of managers, none have been close enough to win it, simply because there were / are better teams ahead of us.

                This is the most difficult trophy to win. Had he inherited a side as strong as Valencia, we would probably have had a bigger chance of winning it. He took over a team which finished 30 points off the top of the table this year and had to clear out many deadwoods, and he even won the CL with some of them in the team.

                We're on a bad patch, the club is broken and divided. It doesn't help one bit.

                          Owen was / is an overrated player. He was never world class. Good goalscorer yes, but nothing pretty special. If Rafa really thought he was that good, he would have kept him.

                          On that point, he's a better judge of player than you.
