    Reserves v Newcastle (a)

Surprised to find no thread on this.

Game being played at a virtually empty St James' Park.

Peter Gulacsi, Stephen Darby, Mikel San José, Ronald Huth, Emiliano Insua, Ryan Crowther, Damien Plessis, Ryan Flynn, Ray Putterill, Jordy Brouwier, Krisztian Nemeth.

Bench: Dean Bouzanis, Martin Kelly, Daniel Ayala, Gerardo Bruna, Andreas Simon.

0-0 at the moment, 71 minutes. Insua very impressive again tonight, at the hub of everything.

Has insua been getting forward much? Has his end product been better than usual?

Aye Insua has been excellent. Brouwer - not so much.

Just a bit! It took him about 30 seconds to go charging forward, play a one-two with Brouwer, and shoot just wide.

He's probably been our biggest attacking threat, in fact. Like I said, central to most good things we've done.

His end-product has been hit and miss, but he's been comfortable in possession throughout and very adventurous.

And on that bombshell, the wife has turned it off.

Insua should play for us in the PL and CL, not the reserves. He is a better left back than Aurelio and Riise without any doubt at all.

I know that most of it is because he more or less don't have any competition at all in that position.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

His distribution and crossing are not as good as Aurelio's. Thats for sure.

Reminds me a bit of Alves. Should definatley start introducing him from now on.

But on the plus side he isn't made of crisps.

Now that is a significant fact.

Alves? No way, Alves crosses are second to none, Insua isn't even close to his level.
