I remember reading he put in the most crosses for any player in the premiership for Birmingham in his last season. Throw enough ****.....

More or less no pace on them at all. Long high crosses that the keeper can pick down without any problems or the striker must put the power behind it himself and that is a lot more difficult.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Can't disagree. The problem is that Crouch manages to get on the end of them, but just embarasses himself with the quality of the resulting headers.

Insua for most of the season so far has shown good pace and skill and a willingness to overlap the winger and attack down the left hand side.

He isnt at Alves standard but he is still learning and has the hallmarks of been a good attacking full back.

He has been a consistent performer and it was beyond me how he couldnt be trusted to at least be on the bench against teams like Luton and especially Havant.

The advantages he has over Riise is he doesnt shoot as soon as he crosses the halfway line and likes to pass the ball on the floor and the advantage of Aurellio is he isnt made of glass.

Insua was absolutely amazing today. Didn't realise how skillful he is. Did anyoe see how much trickery he showed once he went into midfield? In fact, he looked better in midfield today than he did at left back (even though he was really good at left back).

P.S. Insua does have a really good cross on him - this is evident from previous games. He didn't cross the ball much today as he wasrunning through their defence as oppose to running down the line and whipping crosses in

What has happened to Leto? He was doing ok for the reserves earlier in the season.

Still very encouraged by the progress being made with the younger players, one of the main reasons I want Rafa to stay. Even if they don't make it, we could probably recoup the cash spent and try again.

Something dodgy with his passport mate. He isn't able to play for us at the moment

Leto has some problem with his passport, hence why he's not been involved of late. Have no idea what that problem could be though.
Nemeth was impressive once again, as were Plessis and Mikel San José.

I've seen bits and pieces of Pacheco. Obviously he's a bit lightweight but he's 16/17, so Im not worried about that.

My question is, is he quick?

NEWCASTLE'S young goalkeeper Fraser Forster underlined his growing status with a magnificent performance to keep Liverpool Reserves out and earn a point for Newcastle United's second string at St. James' Park last night.

The 6ft 4in 19-year-old pulled off ten vital saves and excelled with a 57th-minute double stop from Krisztian.

Reserve League leaders Liverpool will wonder how they failed to take full points, but they could also have lost had United been sharper in front of goal.

                          advertisement
A James Troisi 20-yarder was deflected inches wide of the right post in the first minute of the second half and four minutes later a Mark Doninger thunderbolt took the paint off the same upright.

But the Merseysiders had more of the game from the first minute, when Forster dived to turn behind an Emiliano Insua drive, to the last.

But the unbeatable Forster ended as he began, diving to his left to push aside a late Jordy Brouwer shot, then getting to his feet to divert Brouwer's angled follow-up across goal to safety.

Forster, who is 20 next month, also tipped over from Ray Putterill, dived at the feet of Brouwer, and then showed razor-sharp reactions to get to Putterill's deflected 15-yarder in the first half.

After the break, apart from the two superb double-saves, the United keeper held a Martin Kelly header and brilliantly spread himself to deny Ryan Crowther.

United's best chance came after 53 minutes when James Marwood set Wesley Ngo Baheng free, but Reds keeper Peter Gulacsi got a touch to the shot to edge it inches wide.
