this is the best one by ziggy "We won’t sign Kuyt as he will never leave Holland due to church commitments"
Believe it or not, but Dirk is a devoutly religious person and the fact of leaving his church was a big factor in his decision.
He and his wife run some charities that help underpriveledged children, the other factor that i heard might scupper the deal was that sadly his father is terminally ill and he was reluctant to leave............. then his father told him how he would love to see him play in the PL
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"
What I would add to this, from personal experience, is that people do hear rumours and bits of genuine information wish they pass on in good faith. But nothing is ever set in concrete. Deals collapse all the time, some were never going to happen in the first place, doesn't mean the people posting were bullsh*tting.
In any proposed deal the only folk who are definately in the know are:-
1) The Chairman
2) The Manager
3) The Agent
4) The Player
If any of you really think any of these will post on a website about a possible transfer you're morons. Take it all with a pinch of salt.
1) Chairman isnt right. My mate's dads bezzy mates with Mr Moores and he calls a few wrong as well ( I dont get much / anything to tell normally but enjoyed the quote and the fact Mr Moores gets it wrong so thought id break mr lurker status) He said we were deffo signing Guilly 'next week' at the back end of last season. Guilly scored that weekend, Barca got nervous whacked the price up and the deal was dead.
I cant tell you more cos those were the words used to me.

fair enough
The future you have, tomorrow, won't be the same future you had, yesterday.
